5.0 out of 5 stars Sony/Ericsson Rules, March 1, 2006
This review is from: Sony Ericsson W600i Unlocked Cell Phone with MP3/Video Player--U.S. Version with Warranty (Vibrant Orange) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I have never been the type that cared for new gadgets but a few months ago after my contract was up with Verizon, I ran to Cingular wireless and bought a Samsung A80 which sucked. It wasn't very user friendly at all, so I gave it back and coughed up $319.00 plus a $100.00 rebate for the Sony Ericsson W600i. The best thing since sliced bread and very user friendly. I haven't seen harldy anything this phone can't do, play streaming video, fox news, mtv, send emails, Im's, and the clarity is amazing. I think it's Sony Ericssion for ever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, July 5, 2006

I work for a cellular company which shall remain nameless. I'm aware of how many Razors we have trouble with - we set up a department specifically for customers who have dud Razors. We have the most trouble with cheaper Samsung phones and ALL Motorola phones. The sound quality on this phone is great. The camera is awesome - not that it replaces your regular camera but it comes close. The phone comes with a significant amount of memory built in (128mb I believe). The controls for games make it similar to a Gameboy. If I have any complaint it's that a case for the phone is hard to come by and it's not paper thin like some new phones, but the quality and versatility make up for it. The radio sounds excellent but I don't use it often. I frequently sit and listen to my mp3's on my break at work - without the earphones. With an FM transmitter, the sound quality is as good as an IPOD. I paid $150 after a $50 mail in rebate with a 2 yr contract.

I've only had the phone for 2 days and all I can say is WOW. This phone is awesome! Yes, it plays music, video, and games. Plus it is a cellphone. And, get this, because it's a Sony "Walkman" phone, its even a FM Stereo radio and a darned good radio at that. The camera is decent as far as cellphone cameras go, but the built in light-thingy really helps the low light shots. I took some video of my dog, Max. Max wasn't too thrilled about me interrupting his afternoon siesta, but the video was good. The audio portion got Max's snorning just right. Did I mention it caught Max's drool too?

It's a great phone for the money. I always get unlocked phones because I don't believe in 2 year cell phone contracts. I mean, who wants to keep a phone 2 years?

4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of options, a little clumsy, July 14, 2006

I really like this phone, and like the concept of having all my "basic" needs in one small package, but I find the swivel feature to be a little clumsy (especially one handed, like when driving) and the buttons on the side of the phone are easy to hit by accident when opening the phone. Sound quality, battery life, picture quality, music feature are all very good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome MP3 player and even better phone, October 16, 2006
This review is from: Sony Ericsson W600i Unlocked Cell Phone with MP3/Video Player--U.S. Version with Warranty (Vibrant Orange) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I have had my Sony Ericsson now for about 4 months and it has been working great. Now I am no techie, but it is easy for me to use and it is easy for me to figure out most things without consulting the owner's manual. The phone itself works great and the sound quality is good. I love the speaker phone option for when I am driving. I also like that you don't really ever need the keypad as long as the number you are dialing is in your address book. All you have to do is scroll to find the number. So even though you have the swivel option to use the keypad, I find that I rarely use it. The scroll "bar" is all I need. I love the easy lock option and the size of the memory is impressive for a cell phone. The MP3 player sounds great and I am always surprised at how great the audio sounds. It is surprisingly loud for such a small phone. Using the audio drains the battery but that is no big deal. I can honestly say I have NOT ONE complaint about this phone. I just love all Sony products!!

This is one of the good piece by Sony Ericsson. The only thing to bother is its width, else its awesome. Sound quality is great. Its really capable of being call'ed as Walkman.

The best thing about this phone is that it is unlocked and was extremely simple to use on the T-Mobile network even though I think it is supposed to be an AT&T phone. It has ton's of features, a great camera with a blinding flash (Hey its the price you pay for great photo quality on a cell phone), Built in radio receiver, ability to use MP3 ring tones, easy to upload custom wall papers and themes to the phone.

i've had this phone for almost two years and it just now starting to give some problems. but considering that its been dropped, thrown, and dropped in water (only once !!!) i think it's been a very durable phone. i'd highly recommend this phone.
