Got this TV stand for our KDS-R50XBR1, and it fits perfectly for the TV. Even though this description doesn't include our TV, on the Sony website, it confirms that this stand is also for the KDS-R50XBR1 and R60XBR1. The stand matches perfectly (same color) and was not difficult to assemble. The shelves are glass, and one of our shelves was shattered when we opened the box (thus, no 5 star rating). We got this stand at Circuit City (where it was $500 plus tax in-store, but $425 on its website), so you can save on shipping by going to the store (if it will fit in your car). Circuit City ordered a replacement glass for our broken one.

This stand is definitely the best way to display your new Sony TV. I wasn't sure which stand to buy but I chose this one because of another Amazon reviewers comments. The Sony TV locks right into the stand like a glove!

This stand is pricey, but it looks REALLY nice in my home theatre. The stand actually encloses the base of the TV, and almost make it look as though the TV and stand are one piece of furniture. Very sharp looking! Perfect height for gaming and watching movies. Easy to put together.
One warning... mine came through J&R Music World, and the top piece was damaged by the packing straps which had cut into the box, and into the stand itself. Not sure if this was the manufacturer, vendor, or shipper's fault, but it took me almost two weeks to get my replacement top, and I had to send back the original first before they would ship the new piece. They wouldn't even discount the shipping and handling for my trouble. If I had it all to do over again, I would get the stand, but I would get it somewhere else. |
