5.0 out of 5 stars Perfectly Portable, December 10, 2007
This review is from: Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220 Bluetooth Streaming Headset with A2DP (with HPM-70 headphones) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Excellent and elegant gadget. Works perfectly with my LG Voyager. The sound quality is amazing due too the DSP (digital sound processing) built into the system (which I can't seem to find any other brand that has that). It's actually so clear that I can tell which MP3s i use are of a low quality. You can control the volume with either the headset or your phone (depending on what phone you have). The max volume of the headset is much louder then the max volume if you just use a regular extension out of the phone. The headset uses bluetooth 2.0 which my Voyager only has 1.2 and it works fine. Supposedly if you have a bluetooth 2.0 capable device the sound is even better, which is surprising because the quality seems almost perfect already. The microphone is clear, if not too clear and can pick up back ground noise such as if your air is fully on in your car. The Sony website says that the headset will even automatically adjust the volume of the headset if you walk into loud environment so you can hear it better, and will do so in less than a second. I haven't noticed that happening, but i also haven't ever had a problem hearing the volume even in a loud area, so maybe it is working, and working seamlessly like they describe. Finally you can't beat being able to use whatever head phone you want for the occasion. You can even hook it up to your stereo if you have the right set of connectors. Overall great product, worth every penny.

Not true. When paired with an HTC Tytn II, the volume is controlled by holding down the 'play/pause' button on the side. Granted, this unit isn't very full featured, but the build & sound quality is very nice. The only major difference that I've noticed is that the volume isn't quite as loud as when the head phones are directly plugged into the device. As far as I know, this is the only branded stereo Bluetooth device that allows you to plug ANY 3.5mm headphones into it making it infinitely more useful when you've destroyed your headphones for day to day usage.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's a toss up, April 7, 2008
This review is from: Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220 Bluetooth Streaming Headset with A2DP (with HPM-70 headphones) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I like this product bc it was the only bt product I could find that I could plug my own head phones into. This was good bc I could use it with my home stereo my car stereo and my personal head phones. What I hate about it was that I can't get the battery to last more then 4 hours. Even the manual addresses that you'll need to use the product several times to get full battery life. Well I've fully charged it and used it till it completely dies about 5 or 6 times now and the battery has remained at working for only 4 hours. Only functions on product are start/stop, phone, volume. I had expected this but it would be nice it they came out with the same product with a better battery and maybe some more buttons on it like skip song or the name of the current song.
