This system might be compact, but the sound rocks. The high quality audio with Mega Xpand and Mega Bass sound delivers rich bass tones for a more complete listening experience. The flip-down 9-inch LCD screen provides rich color television and DVD playback (DVD video and DVD-R/RW). The system will also play all your favorite CDs and CD-R/RW burned discs. And like your regular TV, the ICF-DVD57TV has auto-channel search for a quick scan of available channels and programs.
Sony adds the final touches to this complete system with a built-in cooking timer. This eliminates the need for an additional timer unit for food preparation and automatically alerts you to the time you've set. You can also control the array of features from across your kitchen with the full function remote control. The DVD, CD, TV, radio tuner, and all the general functions of the unit are at your fingertips! This system is stylish, compact, and will bring your favorite TV chefs right into your own kitchen.

Product worth the installation "nightmare"!,
By Brandi K. (Southern California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sony ICF-DVD57TV Under the Cabinet LCD-TV / DVD / CD Clock Radio (Electronics)
After extensive research/cust reviews of this product, I chose this specifically for the highest quality of product available at this time. I prepared my husband for a difficult installation process, & what seemed like a more bulky product, in comparison to the slimmer designs of other brands, but the larger screen, stereo speakers & Sony Quality won my purchase. My husband agreed, "It was a PAIN" to install but "So WELL WORTH IT!" If the dimentions or install hassles don't scare you away, I guarantee you'll be thrilled w/the product & performance!! The speakers blast w/quality stereo sound, making the extra "bulk" worth it. My husband was so happy w/this gift, despite having to "modify" the screws to make them longer & the day & 1/2 it took to install it, because the finished product was worth the trouble to him at the end. Should you decide to "risk" this product purchase, please feel free to email us for any hints or ways to sidestep the installing "hell", My husband was quite the "MacGyver"! & just remember, once it's over, it's OVER! Then you can enjoy a quality system in your home. We recommend the product/system highly, but the dementions & installation process is not standard by ANY means.

Sony Under Cabinet Kitchen DVD,Radio,LCD TV,
By Howard G. (Fishers, IN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sony ICF-DVD57TV Under the Cabinet LCD-TV / DVD / CD Clock Radio (Electronics)
I recently purchased and installed this unit under a corner cabinet in the kitchen.. The fit was fine. The only disappointment I have is with with LCD screen and the adjustments. Most LCD screens are non-reflective. This one is not, and is affected by sunlight coming in the windows. This is not typical of a Sony Product, and is the reason I did not give it 5 stars. The screen drop-down feature works well, as it allows you to move it up and out of the way when not in use.

Horrible Install,

This review is from: Sony ICF-DVD57TV Under the Cabinet LCD-TV / DVD / CD Clock Radio (Electronics)
This will not fit a standard cabinet well. Most cabinets are 12 inches deep, thats standard. With the cables sticking out the back this is easily 13 and a half inches deep. Unless you want it sticking out in front (looking bad) you have to cut into your drywall as I had to.
Also the width is misleading, when I bought this it was labeled as for 15 inch cabinets, when its 15 and 3/4 inches wide. Luckily our light rail bumped the width out far enough. The bolts that come with it seem to be a metric size. I needed slightly longer ones to make the install work properly (again because of the light rail) but being metric they were impossible to find. I ended up rigging it up by double laying the cabinet bottom with some 1x6 and boring into the actual cabinet bottom with a spade bit so my bolt head would sit lower. I finally got it installed, and it looks nice, but man it was a pain.
