I purchased the Sony 46W5150 when I saw that the price was actually less than the 46V5100. I am so glad that I did since the price went up to more the next day. I received the TV via a freight shipment. The set was in perfect condition when it arrived.

The w5150 is the same as the w5100 except it has a longer warranty (18mth vs 12mth). The picture is fantastic with inky blacks and excellent color. The Internet enabled features are a bonus. The biggest thing I was looking forward too for the Internet enabled set is the Netflix on demand, however, it is not available until sometime in November 09. I was happy to find that the TV will pull video from my media server; this saves me from having to turn on the PS3 to get to my stored media. I haven't tried to use the USB port for MP3s or Pictures since I have been able to use the Media server.

I love the look of the TV... it looks great on the wall with a very narrow bezel. The screen itself is not quite matte, but it isn't anywhere near as shiny as the Samsungs and some of the other LCDs out there.

Picture quality is excellent. Sony does a great job with their MotionPlus compared to some of the other sets I was looking at. The Sony option has a much more natural feel too and enhances the picture rather than making it look like video.

The sound quality is pretty good (especially for hidden speakers) as long as you don't turn on the SForce surround option. That seemed to really distort the sound quality.

Set up was a breeze. The TV set up my wired internet connection automatically and found the media server on its own. Since the set is internet enabled I was able to download the newest firmware and have that installed without having to call Sony etc.

Overall, this was an awesome purchase. The picture quality is a little bit better than the v5100 series and you get the longer warranty and Internet features. I highly recommend this set.

The sony 46W5150 is a fantastic TV. The pictures are fabulous and it looks great with deep blacks and motion picture quality.
Images are amazing! The blacks are pretty and true black. This TV has Bravia Engine 3 (Sony's latest video processor) and has a 120 Hz refresh rate. All I see is smoothe motion which is a thing of beauty. The colors look real and true to life. I just love it.
I like the Sony light that comes on on the bottom center of the bezel when the TV is on. I don't like the touch color from samsung but I love this magestic black color in the frame of this tv,,,a lot of elegance.
The sound is very good but not the best, however most lcd tv's have this lack.
I was looking for 5 month, reading all tv's reviews (Sony,Samsung,Toshiba)finally I decided for Sony because has some extras features and was the best choice..."Quality, service, internet capability and best picture".
I must inform you, that Sony has the lowest rates of entries for repairs, related to LCD TV's (Consumer reports). That's mean Sony is the best technology.
Tiger Direct,shipped fast and used a YRC Company for delivery and the driver was lost, thus I had to go for him in a gas station, despite I live in an area where others delivery companies, never have had the same trouble. I think that everyone has a bad day in the work and I could understand the driver. At least, TV arrived at expected day.

I bought this TV from amazon about 6mos ago and so far it's been great. Only problems I have are with back light bleeding pretty noticeable in one corner and not so much in the other corners. You can't tell when there is a picture but it's noticeable when it goes black especially at night. The other problem I have is sometimes I turn it on and it won't let me change inputs or anything and when I do it says "Powering on..." and I have to unplug and plug it back in. Though it might have been from turning it on right after turning it off but it does it when ever. Other than that the picture is crazy good, the 120hz looks great how they have the default movie setting set up and doesn't look "soap opera" unless you turn the Cinemotion on (Not the same as motionflow). Great TV just wish they could get rid of the backlight problem already.

Overall I am happy with the TV with the following key things:

Remote, size, color, picture quality are all pretty good.
The sound is about on par with most of other reviews in that it is marginal at best. The biggest complaint I have with the TV is not being able to change the angle of it. It does not swivel turn or tilt up or down. It struggles to remain 90degree upright.

Also, the freight company that shipped it missed their scheduled four hour window. I was pissed that I sat at the house during those hours so to fix it the guy came back after 6pm local time when I was off work to deliver it.

NICE LOOKING TV. VIDEO AND QUALITY IS OVERALL PRETTY GOOD. EASY TO VIEW IN DAYTIME AND NIGHT TIME SETTINGS. THE BLACKS COULD BE DARKER. ONLY REASON IS YOU CAN SEE WHITE LIGHT ALL AROUND THE SCREEN WHEN THE SCREEN IS SUPPOSE TO COMPLETELY BACK. BESIDES THAT EVERYTHING SEEMS FINE. COULD BE A COUPLE HUNDRED DOLLARS CHEAPER. TIGER DIRECT HAD THE BEST PRICE FOR A NEW SONY, BUT IN THE END IT STILL SHOULD BE A COUPLE HUNDRED CHEAPER.

I'm returning this TV. I opened the box tonight, and the screen was cracked, big time. It looked like somewhere in transit a Forklift had grazed the box.

Also, it took FedEx nearly two weeks to deliver it, once I ordered it.

Do not order this TV from Tiger Direct! They use a delivery service called Yellow Roadway Corporation that called me to setup up a time and date to deliver the TV but they never showed up. I called them to find out the status of the delivery and they told me the TV hadn't arrived in their warehouse. I asked why I wasn't notified that the TV wasn't going to arrive on the time and date that they promised and they said Tiger Direct hadn't paid for guaranteed delivery. It's the worst delivery service I've ever heard of. I specifically chose to buy from Tiger Direct because of other people's reviews saying delivery service was so great. It's totally not great!
