Sony LCMWA Semi Soft Carrying Case for DSCW1/W5/W7 and W30, W50, W70, W100 Digital Cameras

I bought this case for my Cybershot DSC-W1. The camera fits beautifully into the case. I especially like that the shoulder / neck strap is detachable.

One thing that is indistinguishable in the photo: There are two zippers that run up on each side of the case. They are connected to a smaller strap (seen in the photo - much like a wrist strap) that you can pull to zip or unzip both sides at once. The side zippers do not run along the top or bottom of the case, so there is less danger of your camera accidently falling out when you are removing the case.

The color of the case is less of a blue-siver, as shown in the pic. It is more of a taupe-silver, but it looks quite fly with a brushed metal plate on the front.

Please note that the mini-pouch does not fit INSIDE the camera case. However, it has a velco flap which allows it to attach securely to the shoulder / neck strap. I have attached mine to the smaller wrist strap, but will probably end up storing it in my purse. I can easilly fit a pair of replacement batteries in their plastic case, and two memory cards into the mini-pouch.

I would have given five stars if the mini-pouch had fit inside the camera case - thus my 4.5 star rating.

I bought this camera case for my DSCW5, it is a perfect fit for the camera. It's sturdy enough that it will protect but soft enough to carry easily on your person. Great case for the money, I recommend it.

Good all around and works well; however, external case gotta go. Sony should have made the case to fit the battery and the memory sticks inside.

The case is solid and looks good w/o being one of those big, leather affairs from the 80s.

The closure is odd, dual zippers that don't meet, a rubber "seal" at the top. Why did Sony do this?

The case is great, easy to use and the camera fits in it well. It is nice to have the option to put a belt thru it and the extra little case to hold batteries/extra memory cards is nice too. Would recommend it to anyone.

Great design and firm body protects the camera against bumps and knocks. I saw only two problems:
First, the carrying strap is too soft and gets wrapped up in itself.

Second, the case does not permit the installation of a tube and UV filter on the camera. It simply isn't deep enough. You need both of these items in order to protect the lens. It would be a simple redesign to fix the issue.

I am reviewing this camera case after several years of ownership. The case has protected my camera through a lot of adventures. I have a Harley and this case has gone through close to 50,000 miles riding in the saddlebags and photographing my travels. It is a great product and I would definitely recommend it to someone who likes to keep their camera with them but can't always guarantee it will not get bumped around a little on the road of life.

great simple case for your compact camera... slick design combing a hard and soft case.. Extra pouch great for spare battery or card.
