This carrying case is ideal for carrying your DCRHC/42 to all your family events. It fits great around your shoulder, uses little space, and enhances the maneuverability of all your basic equipment when in body movement. In fact, I have two cases: a bigger one for storing all the accessories and this one to take wherever I go. It is very comfortable and, more importantly, keeps your handycam very secure. The light gray color is nice. My wife loves it. And me, too.

This bag is only big enough for the camcorder, period. No cables, no extra tapes, just the camcoder. Small zippered pocket can be used to store the remote, maybe. I am able to cram a spare battery, barely, in with the camera, but a charger? Forget it. Should have gotten the larger bag for less money, go figure. That way I could have put everything together. It does protect the camera, with a snug fit, and is very light. A good choice for day trips.

This case is very designed to fit in the camcorder perfectly. But it would have been nice if there was little more space to keep things like remote and a spare cassette atleast.
The case has god cushion on all sides which keeps the camcorder pretty safe.

Forget about packing any accessories--there's no room to spare. Think of this one more as a "holster" to keep the camera at your fingertips without having to lug around a full-sized camera bag. I own both, but the big one stays at home or in the car most of the time. The integral wide belt loop allows me to mount it on my fanny pack's waist belt for hiking, and I especially like the gussets, which hold the camera securely while opening or closing the zippers. A shoulder strap is also provided if you prefer. Although not listed, the DCR-HC96 also fits, albeit snugly.

The product is suitable for bringing camera wherever you need, small and practical.

It's well designed, the protection is very good, but you should know it's pretty compact, you can put only the camera inside, nothing else.

Also take care about the color, it has some pink on it, if you are a relly macho and worry about it, better look for options.

I actually bought this case to house my Canon Elura 100, and it's a perfect fit. I really like the belt loop although having a video camera on your hip is a little bulky.

My one complaint: Some of the trim on this case is pink. Now, I'm not the most macho guy on earth, but it seems to me tht Sony could have gone with a little more neutral tone. In the end though it's a very minor complaint.

This bag is light and small but it's very convenient if you just carry the video camera and memory stick. I definitely enjoy it.

The camera and one extra tape fit PERFECTLY in this case. AND the strap is nice and long so you can carry it across your body if you want.

this case is really handy for the appropriate camcorders, used it in new york this summer and was not bulky, however it won't hold any accessories
