a very pretty case and well made but it is an extremely tight fight for the Sony dsc-hx9v due to the size, I cannot recommend this case for the camera

I just received the LCS-HF leather camera case. It is a stylish looking case and nicely fits my Sony DSC-HX5V digital camera. The box says that it also fits the DSC-H55 and DSC-W370.

The metal mirrored Sony logo on the front matches the mirrored top and sides of the HX5V. It features a sewn-on belt loop, an interior padded layer in the back to protect the LCD screen, and a memory card pocket inside in the front of the case that perfectly fits a SD card.

It does make your camera seem more bulky, but otherwise I think it's a great case, and I recommend it to protect your investment. My only gripe is that the SonyStyle site says it features a Magnetic Closure and the instructions that come with the case say that it has a Magnetic Snap. However, mine is not magnetic, and came with a single snap button closure (see uploaded photo). I would have preferred a button-less magnetic closure.

This is a high quality case that looks beautiful as well. It has a belt loop, which is also sturdy. You have to slide it on and off your belt, but that makes it less likely to fall off.

My DSC-HX5V fits perfectly into this case, and snaps closed without worry.

I would recommend this for carrying your camera around in style (and safely), especially for a night on the town. You may want a different case if you go hiking and need more cushion in case you fall or expect to get wet.

We purchased this case specifically for our Sony DSC-HX5V camera. As we know it, there is not a specific case made for this camera, however, we have previously purchased another neoprene case from Sony, but was unhappy about the protection and also the looks (it was gray and drab).

When this case was made available (there was an inventory issue worldwide), we took the chance to get one for ourselves. The exterior is of typical leather (or in this case looks more like "pleather"), regardless, the smell of leather is there, there is a button clasp for secure and a belt loop in the rear (you'd have to unbuckle your belt to slip this case on and off). The interior is lined with suede/microfiber like material and does a good job of protecting what's inside the camera. There is a little pocket for memory card, but has no other room for anything else. The accents are shiny plastic that may be prone to scratching, and obviously has the obligatory "Sony" stenciled at the front.

The HX5V is not a tiny camera, but when inserted in the case, the side profile is juts out considerably since the camera lense + clasp assembly addes about 1/4 inch to the frontal profile. Since it's a clampshell type case, the top corners of the camera is not protected, but allows the camera strap to pass through.

Besides this minor annoyance - it provided what we were looking for in a camera case for our HX5V - protection, material (leather), looks.

Great looking case that does what it's supposed to do. The Sony DSC-HX5V fits snuggly within. Perfect and much cheaper than buying it at a 'brick-and-mortar' store, which is always a plus!

This is a very nice case for my new Sony HX5V camera. It fits nicely and the belt loop is just big enough for my belts, and it sure looks a lot better than the <$10 camera cases. It also does a good job protecting the camera too because I accidentally knocked it off my kitchen island and the camera still works. The price is kind of expensive but it already paid for itself.

This was the case I wanted for my camera on Sony's website. It was $10 less expensive on Amazon.com. Great deal!
