these do not stay on your ears,
By Kyle Paris (E'ville, IL) - See all my reviews

the sounds on these headphones is tight, but the open-air design lets other noise in, and also lets everyone around you hear what you're listening too. the biggest problem w/ these is that they do not stay put on your ear. you cannot go work out w/ them or even move around too quickly w/o having to readjust them. i would reccommend passing on these and checking out some of the other headphones sony is making.

I bought this headphone to use when running outdoors. The sound is great but as another reviewer mentioned, this thing rarely stays put in my ears. Its as if my ears are too small.I called SONY to try to get a refund or exchange but there was nothing they could offer me. I will try to place it on sale in the amazon marketplace. I need to get it off my hands.

These worked great for me.,

I am rebuying a pair of these headphones.(Mine accidentally broke.) I have tried 3 times, within the same price bracket, to replace my current pair and these are SO FAR superior than the newer models available. As mentioned by another reviewer, the cord isn't just a piece of plastic, so it's longevity was relatively amazing. The clip-on ear pieces worked well for me, (but that's coming from someone that those ipod earphones fall right out. ) I guess it just depends on the shape, not size, of your ears. I am buying another pair because I know I can rely on them.

Disagree with all the complaints,

I disagree with everyone's complaints. Admittedly, they're not the most secure fit, but it has its merits. The design is sleek and stylish. Also, they don't make my ears hurt, and they don't fall off as easily as some say. But definitely not the headphones to buy if you are going to be working out, they wouldn't stay on. Sound quality is little subpar but nothing terrible.

Horrible Headphones,

These are the worst headphones I have ever bought. Sony has done it again, too expensive and very awkward to wear. Do not waste your hard earned money on them.

Well I was shocked! On such a great sale and the sound is super nice. I love the ease of the phone call quality to! Only thing I didn't realize is that the headphones are built to allow you to hear things around you which I dont mind but can be annoying

i ordered these because i had read some reviews that claimed they produced high quality sound for this style of headphone. the price was ok, the order process was smooth and they arrived on time. unfortunately, i really dislike their sound and don't use them. only the manufacturer and the reviewers are to blame.

I had a pair of these that I had purchased a few years back without really testing too many others. They were mostly used for the gym, so they got beat around in my gym bag, then had to stay on while running and moving quite a bit.
After about 3.5/4 years, it seemed I had blown one of the speakers and it was time for them to go. That's when I started to appreciate what I had found. I've gone through many pairs of clip-on headphones trying to find ones that would serve me this well, and everything just fell short. The braided cord is the most durable, resilient cord I've ever had. The short length is the greatest asset to anyone that works out with an ipod in an arm band. It's just long enough to allow full range of movement without ever getting caught on things or in your own way. Not to mention avoiding the weight of the cable swinging back and forth pulling one or the other of the earphones right off your head. That was the worst. Perhaps audiophiles may want to look somewhere else. Also, folks who are commuting on public transport (I applaud you for it) who are concerned about courtesy and the sound not being well contained may want to steer toward a different style all together. But for normal street usage and gym wear, I love these things and hope never to be without them again. I've learned my lesson. When you find something that works, stick with it.
