these babies wouldn't work right in front of the transmitter! granted, i'm in a studio and there are computers and stereos everywhere, but this is no excuse for the performance of this product. not even a 2-foot range-horrible, i'm sending them back

Flawed design, plagued by cutouts and power reqs,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sony MDR-RF930K 900-MHz RF Wireless Headphones (Electronics)
I returned these to Amazon. I was looking for a pair with good sound specs and these appeared to fill the bill. However, in practice, there were three major problems: (1) an 80W amp had to be cranked up all the way to power reasonable listening levels, which is bad for the amp, (2) there were frequent cutouts even within 15 feet and direct line of site, (3) the head fit was poor. I'm very disappointed with Sony for releasing this product with such major (and discoverable) flaws.

Poor Design,
By Jerry (Seattle, Washington) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sony MDR-RF930K 900-MHz RF Wireless Headphones (Electronics)
I've had a set of these phones for a month now. The design appeared to be just what I needed for exercising and listening to the TV. But the phones perform very poorly. Audio begins cutting in and out when ever I'm greater than 10 feet away from the transmitter or when ever line of sight is broken. Shame on Sony for putting such a lame product in the market. Mine are going back as soon as I find a phone line to Sony that someone will answer.
