So far, mostly good,

I like them a lot, the sound is good and I LOVE the retractable cords. I am a little concerned about the thickness of the cord though and I would have prefered a 90 degree plug. They are really nice if you are using them while moving around. They fit into a pocket with ease.
However, they are not comfortable to use for long periods of time. I tried to wear them at work, but after several hours of use, the clips hurt my ears. So I use the Sony MDR-Q22LP model for long periods of time.

Great headphones, but the cable is too short,

I really like these headphones. Pros: They stay on your ears well, the reel mechanism (for winding the cable up inside the 'phones) is resilient, and the cable is extremely thin. Oh, and the sound quality seems fantastic to me, though I'm no audiophile.
Cons: The picture of this product shows white headphones, but I was shipped black ones (would have preferred the white) -- not too big a deal, I guess. Here's the most irritating drawback: The cable that goes from the headphones to the jack is too short! I cannot use these to listen to my iPod nano with it in my pants pocket; the cable, fully extended, doesn't let the nano reach the end of the pocket and the weight of the device pulls the left headphone off my ear as I walk. But I'm 6'2"; if you're 5'8" or shorter this probably won't be an issue for you. You could also keep your MP3 player higher than your waist, which is what I do (but it's not ideal).

Not sure why the write-ups don't say anything about it, but the connector requires no adapter to work with the iPhone. For me, the earbuds that come with the iPhone don't fit all that well, but these fit perfectly and produce excellent sound quality. And the retractable cord means you never have to worry about these things getting tangled up in your pocket or gearbag. Highly recommended!

Love these for listening to books on tape or CD. If you bend over, they don't fall off. Great stuff

Good for convenience,

I'm not enough of an audiophile to want to lug around a large, expensive headphones. I use headphones when I'm on the go, so convenience is what's most important for me. The retractable cord is amazing. Surprising how something so small makes such a difference to me. Now if they can make a comfortable, over the ear earphone, with amazing sound and of course retractable cord, I'd upgrade in a heartbeat.
As it is now, I'm satisfied,

I got these because I didn't used to like in-ear headphones, and over-the-head headphones didn't seem portable enough.
PROS: They are definitely comfortable and portable, and you never have to worry about the cord getting tangled. CONS: They break easily. Ether they stop retracting, or you lose sound in one (or both) side. Usually last a few months. I've actually been through at least 4 sets. I guess it could be that I didn't take good enough care of them, but it seems likely that they just have too many moving parts.

Love the retractable; don't hold up to wear and tear,
This review is from: Sony MDRQ68LW Clip-On Headphones (Black) (Electronics)
This is my second set of these, and I'm about to buy a third (and fourth, for backup). The convenience of the retractable cord is why I buy them. The sound quality is decent... I mostly use them to listen to audiobooks or music while I'm exercising. They would not likely rate high for someone wanting superior sound quality. The drawbacks: 1.) After 3-6 mos of fairly active use, the ear cushions begin to fall apart 2.) The retractability stops "holding". So, I don't think they last quite as long as some. That being said, it's still the best I've found for my needs.

Great idea, but not long lasting,

I've had these for 4 months. They were amazing at first. I loved the retractable cord. But now, after 4 months of use, the cord is stuck always retracting (it's always pulling) and the rubber on the over-the-ear clips are peeling off, reveling hard pointy pieces of plastic that kinda hurt. The sound quality is good, the design is great, but the lack of durability downgrads this product greatly.

I had this for about 2-3 weeks and I am preparing to return them
Over all the sound was nice and it fit around my ears nicely and the retractable cord was really handy... However, the retractable cord has already started to get jammed if you read the details on the back of the box it actually mentions this problem I tried to treat it as carefully as I can but well... it didn't do any good the cord is also scarily thin and looks extremely fragile so I don't think this will be a good long term product

Okay for awhile,
This review is from: Sony MDRQ68LW Clip-On Headphones (Black) (Electronics)
I bought these headphones because i needed a new pair after my other headphones i had for 7 years just stopped working i love the price good value and loved the sound but the one problem i had was after just 2 months of using them something inside the headphones broke so it was always retracting and wouldn't stay after i messed with it for awhile it would. and one day i went to retract the cord and it broke out of the left ear piece. If you want a good price then buy these headphones but if your looking for more durable ones get something else these head phones will not last
