I've had water cases before and even a "water proof" camera but all of them have leaked. I went with this one because we have a sony camcorder and its waterproof case has never leaked so when I need to buy another camera I went back to the brand I trusted. I had a canon water proof case and it leaked when I turned one of the controls. I also had the olympus shockproof/waterproof camera and it to leaked. After 15 dives this one is still wonderful. I've gotten great pictures with the camera DSC WX1 and great video. Hints: always use the flash and never use the zoom just physically get as close as you can. It worked so well, better than my dads olympus that he is getting the camera and the case for his next snorkel trip.

I bought this camera housing along with the DSC-W230 about a month ago and have already put it through 13 dives. The case is a little bit large but it takes nice photos and doesn't leak. I've had it up to 139' and the only problem that I noticed was one of the buttons would push down due to the water pressure so it made it difficult to navigate the menu at that depth, but it still did take pictures.

I haven't used the flash much yet because it is halfway covered up by the lens port unless you use the included flash diffuser. I'm going to try out the flash w/diffuser (now that I tested it in the pool and know how it works) this weekend during my dives in the Red Sea.

I took it to the pool and it worked great, then I took it to the sea and took some pictures under water and they were also great. I did not go that deep, but it protected my camera from getting wet. I took nice pictures of my kids!!!

I used this casing scuba diving with my W230 camera. After having an experienced friend assist me greasing the o-ring and carefully removing any dust around the ring, I took it on two subsequent dives, and had no leaks! The flash-diffuser worked really well to increase color and brightness of the photos, and I could access video and underwater mode while it was in the casing. My only wish was that the hand strap would be a bit tighter, or come with a carabiner clip, as I had to hold on to the camera so it didn't accidentally float off my wrist. Other than that, it worked very well, and I would recommend it.

Note: It was slightly larger than some housing I have seen, but that is mostly due to the lens part on the front, which probably helps improve picture quality.

I had never purchased an underwater camera or housing before. I considered buying an underwater camera, but had just recently purchased the W230, and didn't want to invest in another whole camera.

this is a really nice enclosure, it works great and it's easy to use, and it's very cheap too compared to others.

I love my new Underwater Camera Case! I took it to the beach yesterday and had a blast with it =D. Super stoked! Going to the beach again today to take more pictures!
