5.0 out of 5 stars The minumum amount of memory you should have, November 19, 2000
This review is from: Sony MSA32A 32 MB Memory Stick Media (Personal Computers)
Way better than 4MB, and much better than 16MB, this 32MB memory stick will do you pretty well. I have been using one for a while, and it served me well taking medium resolution images on two short trips this summer. I ended up having to delete images towards the end of the trip to fit in more exciting photo ops, though, and I really wish I had bought an extra one of these, or the 64MB card.

If you shoot low res pix only (640x480), you'll get about 200 pix out of this memory stick, which certainly is not a bad amount. I shoot at medium resolution (1024x768) when on trips, and I get 95-100 images before it's full. When I shoot tiffs (record keeping for artwork), though, it only has enough space for two or three images. Fortunately, I only shoot those at home, and can immediately download them to the computer, but if you're looking to take a vacation or do a lot of shooting between computer downloads at high resolution, you'll need a 64MB card, or at least a couple of these 32MB ones.

I am happy with this product, and very glad that I didn't settle for the 16MB card, which is, in my opinion, nightmarishly small.

As with anything involving memory (whether cameras or computers or PDAs, etc.), you really have to figure out how much you think you need, and then buy twice as much.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not cool at this price!, September 15, 2000

Since the price is Sony's own list price, you can find it cheaper at many online stores. The product itself is fine. The price is the problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just cool!, September 2, 2000
This review is from: Sony MSA32A 32 MB Memory Stick Media (Personal Computers)
Have you got 4Mb memory stick included with your camcorder? Was it enough? NO! So, here is what you need and the price per Mb is resonable.
