5.0 out of 5 stars Works great
I'm using this in a Sony Erricson cell phone (710a), and it works like a champ, no problems. I didn't even have to format this one!

3.0 out of 5 stars A gift
My sister inlaw purchased her first digital camera and the memory card which came with the camera was very small so she became very disappointed with the camera. She had absolutely no knowledge at all on the operation of the camera with the exception of just push the button. Since she had no knowledge of the camera she was unable to even set the camera up so I purchased...

5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for my Sony voice recorder, June 14, 2010
This review is from: Sony DUO MSH-M128A 128 MB Memory Stick (Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
I bought a pair of these for my Sony ICD-BM1 voice recorder.

This dictaphone only can accept the original memory stick media, not larger than 128 MB. Therefore, any of other variations (Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Pro Duo, Memory Stick Pro-HG, etc.) are not compatible with this voice recorder. I imagine there are still many devices out there using the original Memory Stick cards. I didn't try other cards (as I don't have such cards), however I checked the compatibility for my dictaphone on Sony's support webpage, and I recommend the same for you. [...]

However, among the original Memory Stick cards, this is the fastest variation available. The official name is "Memory Stick High Speed Duo", and you have to pay attention to the product code, "MSH-M128A", as the product with N in the ending is slow speed (MSH-M128N or MSH-128). I wish there were even faster cards with this controller standard (useful when loading the card, or when copying over the PC).

My voice recorder also needs the included dummy adapters, to fit for the larger format. They work perfectly well, no compatibility, quality or speed issues. I use a lot of short recordings, and sometimes long recordings, but I didn't notice any speed reduction due to wear of the flash memory (common for pendrives and memory cards after many read-write cycles - I recommend to only buy new memory cards).

So, highly recommended.

Note:
There is a Memory Stick MSH-256 256 MB card also on the market. This is slow speed, and unless specifically noted, devices will record only 128 MB.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works with older Sony cameras, November 13, 2009

I bought this for an older Sony camera that I use for business travel. The camera will accept DUO but not PRO DUO Memory Sticks. Since this item was advertised as being for a Sony game system (PSP, I think), I wasn't 100% sure it would work. As an FYI, there is a great cross reference guide for cameras on the support section of Sony's website. As it turns out, this item works perfectly and I'm very happy with it.

I use these both with and without the adapter - in a digital picture frame, in my camera, and in my cell phone. They work well in all three. Very happy with this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mini Memory Card, July 31, 2006

I bought it to use in a Sony H-2 Digital camera. It works great, but you do need the adapter to put the memory card in the slot of your computer to edit/send/transfer pictures. That is not a problem with the card, as it is the size that the camera calls for.

It works straight out of the box no formatting required in a Sony DSC-S70 camera. So if you have an older Sony product that supports the old MagicGate memory stick this is a great buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Replacement for Original Sony Memory Stick, October 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sony DUO MSH-M128A 128 MB Memory Stick (Retail Package) (Personal Computers)
Like the reviewer below, I have a Sony DSC-F707 digital camera (purchased in early 2002). I have been using the memory sticks that I purchased at the time I acquired the camera. The memories have begun having access problems when the camera starts; repeatedly ejecting and inserting the memory stick solves the problem (so far) but doesn't bode well. Finding these Sony memory sticks available for a satisfactory price was a godsend. The package contains a Duo Memory Stick which is not size compatible with the original memory stick. However, the package also includes an adapter which "converts" the Duo chip into a classic memory stick. Works perfectly in the camera. On the card reader interface on my PC, the adapter case was just a bit too fat to plug in; I had to remove the Duo chip from the adapter and plug it into the reader in order to read the jpeg files on the chip. Not a big deal and may not be the case for most flash memory readers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works on older Sony DCS-F707 Camera, September 7, 2011

This product worked on my older Sony DCS-F707 digital camera. last time I needed memory I bought 2 sony 128mb magicgate memory sticks for abut $12 each.... imagine the shock when I look into getting a few more and they are - $90 each??? so after much research and consideration I bought 3 of these - they all worked right out of the box... just to make sure I loaded one up completely with as many high res picts as I could-no loss, worked great.
I have a wedding to photograph this coming weekend so I am very happy I now have a number of working sticks! If you have an older Sony camera such as the F707 I recomend this highly

OK so the world has moved on to other media; from MB to GB. My old Sony works very well and it's a comfort to know I have extra memory sticks that work just as well as the old ones did. no glitches.
