Does not charge Sony Mavica FM50 battery,

I bought this to charge the battery of a Sony Mavica camera, but although I can set the battery into the wall charger, it does not secure the battery in any way. Battery charge is minimal, although I can't say it does not charge it at all. Rather, after 6 hours, I do get a 12 minute charge. This is a great disappointment. I feel that if I could get the battery to secure itself in somehow, I could get a better charge. Perhaps it will fit other batteries, but not the Sony FM50 (although that is the very battery it states it does fit, on the back of the item.)I do not recommend this charger. I have not tried the car plug, as I have not needed it yet, but I don't see that it would give a better charge.
