5.0 out of 5 stars See for yourself
Ok. So everything on the internet that I have read so far is bashing the new click series of Micro Vault. But since I am one to never believe what others say I picked one up when I needed something a little bigger than my cruzer 2gb, and so far I am very impressed with it. When I first took it out of the packaging I was impressed at its size first of all. It is very slim...

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty? Yes. Slow? Yessssssss
It's pretty! It's small, thin, light, and the LED light makes it attractive in the dark!

But it's slowwwwwww! The transfer speed may not be noticeable if you just save a file or two on the drive. It will test your patience, however, when you transfer large files. I copied a 600MB file from my computer to this drive, and it took more than 15 minutes!! The...

It is very slim and thin looking, and its purple color is aesthetically pleasing as well. The light however is blue, which I thought was weird since the outside color is purple? But oh well it looks fine. As for speed, it is just as fast as my Cruzer which I mentioned before, so don't believe all the speed problems you hear about. Since I am a flash drive addict, you can take my word that this one does not disappoint. Oh and another cool feature is that whenever you disconnect it from your computer the usb end automatically retracts, pretty neat kids.

5.0 out of 5 stars Creative, functional design, July 15, 2009

This drive is so cool! There is no need for a cap due to the clever retractable design. Additionally, the blue LED light looks great (even though it's a purple casing). A few other reviewers have complained about the speed of the drive, but that's more on the part of the speed of the port you've hooked it up to. If you stick with usb 2.0 ports on your computers, it will work great. You'd think that for the great design, functionality, and looks, it would be at a much higher price point than the SanDisk cruzer, but the price has been cheaper most of the time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Fast, August 17, 2009
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Sony Micro Vault Click 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive with Virtual Expander USM4GL (Personal Computers)
I just got this flash drive and it's GREAT! It's light. portable, and really fast-I was able to copy a 2-hour movie to it in less than a minute! I definitely recommend it!!!!! The USB end is always protected inside the plastic casing, and the LED lighting is helpful to let you know that it's working. I got mine at Walmart, and it was wayyyy cheaper than on Amazon. GET IT.

I will add that some of the other flash drives I own have teensy LEDs. Hard to see if they are flashing when I am transferring files. It's better to be able to see that the drive is alive, and files are moving (for instance, when you hit Save). I LOVE this drive for that. So, I second what others have said here: tiny, retractable, with brilliant and reassuring flash LED. A winner. I own about 5 of these drives in all storage sizes. Perfectly compatible right out of the package with my Vista and Win7 computers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Drive for a Great Deal, May 3, 2009

Easily the best thumb drive I've ever owned.

1) Design is genius - no cap to worry about losing
2) Blazing fast. I can copy a 700MB CD image in less than a minute. That works out to 110 Mb/s
3) Activity light is visible from both sides, which is nice because some USB ports are upside-down.

Hopefully the reliability will be what you'd expect from Sony. I've owned this 6 months with no problems.

This review is from: Sony Micro Vault Click 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive with Virtual Expander USM4GL (Personal Computers)
All of my USB flash drives have been Sony Micro Vaults and this one is on par with the high quality that I expect from these particular Sony products. Transfer speeds are quite fast and 4GB of space is quite abundant. I'm not much of a fan of this clicking form. I prefer the older slide style, but it's fine. After click it, the USB gets much smaller. I highly recommend this to product to buyers.

I bought this flash drive to enable BD-Live on my older Sony Blu-ray player (BDP-N460). Plugged it into the EXT port on the back and everything works great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Magical, March 14, 2010
This review is from: Sony Micro Vault Click 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive with Virtual Expander USM4GL (Personal Computers)
I own a bundle of 4 Gig thumb drives.
This Sony Microvault is far and away my favourite.
Mainly for its speed. Knocks the sox off any other.
And Cute? Sure. Nice bright action glow.
Peel back cover is sexy.
I only wish it worked on my older computer which has Windows 98.
Ah well, I transfer its data to an equally old thumb drive to
use it on my older system.
