I purchased this replacement battery for my Sony DSC-W150. I read through the reviews and decided to take a chance on buying the $4.67 battery as opposed to paying $30 for the original Sony NP-BG1. My battery arrived just in time for my Disney vacation. It worked perfect! I took several shots and recharged it several times - never a problem. This battery even tells the minutes left as opposed to just a battery icon showing the charge. I am extremely pleased so far with this NP-FG1 generic battery.

I ordered the battery from BargainCell for my Sony DSC-W290. This is the NP-FG1 battery which tells you status in minutes rather than simple bars in NP-BG1.

The replacement battery has come in very handy- During our wedding our regular battery ran down...I just pulled an extra battery out and in seconds I was filming and taking pictures again......also I love my Sony Touch screen

A friend of mine suggested that I buy a few batteries for my camera to keep with me so when one runs low, I would have a back up and not miss out on taking any pictures. I thought it could get kind of pricey but I was surprised when I saw this one for a VERY inexpensive price but was worried, at the same time, that it was so inexpensive; however, I am so glad I took the chance and bought it. In fact, I bought 2 more. They work perfectly fine, the battery life is exactly the same as the original that came with the camera. If you're looking to buy some back ups to keep with you, don't hesitate to buy these inexpensive ones...they work great.

You can't beat the price or the performance. We used them in Hawaii in September. We took hundreds of pictures, and hours of video of the Big Island of Hawaii. Never a problem with these batteries. I highly recommend them.

My camera, too, seized up and deeemed this battery "not compatible," despite the seller's claim that it would work with a DSC-W70. I don't know why most folks here had better luck, (maybe it works for other models?) but caveat emptor.

Update: While this battery does turn the camera on, it is NOT an authorized battery to operate a Sony camera. So, the camera will not take a picture, or even display the pictures already on the camera. Beware of this battery with a Sony camera. Buy an authentic Sony battery.

So happy to find a replacement battery for a Sony camera that actually works. I had previously bought an "off-brand" that did not take a charge. This battery is an exact match for the Sony and is affordable. Now I can have a back-up battery with me for long trips. Great buy!

Despite having the same specs and the same size, shape, and contacts, this will not work with the newer Sony cameras that use this style batterie; poweers up the camera, then a message appears that sates "camera only designed to work with authorized battery"!

I tried charging the battery and it did not charge. I sent the seller a request to return or exchange the product and i did not get a resopnse. very dissatisfied.

This battery was a very good deal compared to what the retail stores are charging. Received within a couple of days, works fine & has been perfect for back-up battery. Use this almost daily.
