it works and it's cheap,

this isnt a direct replacement item for my Sony battery, but the work-around is pretty clever though cumbersome.
when i put the battery in, my cam said it didnt support that battery so i was initially pissed. then i saw there was a short cable and a port on the back of the replacement battery. plugged the cord from the battery to the DC in port in the camera and it worked. the battery is about 4 times larger than the Sony battery it replaces, so you have a longer battery and a cord attached to it instead of a neat, compact battery. in effect, the camera thinks it is running on DC power from the wall and the act of placing the battery into its slot is just a handy storage area for the battery. it wasnt what i expected but at 25% of the price of a new one, it was a good deal.

The battery is as good as original, with long standby time and very quick to charge, eforcity's delivery was quick too.
