Good sound quality.

The one thing about this product that I didn't like, and it was the ONLY thing, was sadly the thing that I wanted the most...for the headphones to fit.
Noah Miller
The wires fit around the ear and have a good mixture of flexibility while staying where you bend them.

I loved the last version of this, and I love this version even more. The main problem I had with the last one was that it was difficult to get the headphones to stay in place (earbuds have never worked for me). However, the last ones will stay in with a headband.

This version still requires that I wear a headband to cover the headphones, but these headphones' length is about 2/3 of the length of the old ones. Therefore, they stay much more secure under the headband.

The water resistance appears to be just as good in this version as in the old version.

The other great change was regular buttons for skip and backtrack songs. The old version had one switch that was pressed to pause, flick forward to skip, and flick back to reverse.

The player also has shuffle options (songs or playlists) chosen by pressing a button or holding the same button.

One other note, the "red color" option is the special edition that includes some notes from a pro marathoner. If you're not interested in these, it was easy to delete them from the device.

I run around 50 miles a week and like to listen to tunes during my long runs when running alone. When my iPod headphones broke I found these on amazon and I'm totally happy with them. No more dealing with wires that flop around or get tangled in my hydration pack. Controls are easy to use and it's easy to copy songs from iTunes. Just drag and drop playlists from iTunes to the Walkman app that comes with this product. Big thumbs up.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
As much as I like to be able to hear everything around me when I get a chance to go running, it's so much more fun to do it with some good music playing. Normally I hold my iPod Touch in either hand with the cord to the headphones bouncing back and forth with each step. It's not that annoying, but it's always nice to have both hands free of distractions. The iPod armband is an option, but if I need to adjust the volume or anything, then I'm going to be stopping to see what I'm doing on the screen, or not look where I'm going to do so. It seems weird that only recently something like this Sony Walkman mp3 player has come along. Remember those huge headphones from the 80s that had a built-in radio? Yeah, this is a big step up from those. However, it seems that this product is hit or miss with a lot of people.

First, the good- this mp3 player is relatively cheap, and a good alternative to people who don't want to mess with corded mp3 players in the same price range. The pieces that actually go in your ear aren't too bad- they're not uncomfortable, and not weak like some other headphones I've tried over the last year. The first couple of times I put it on, it felt weird, but I got used to it. That's going to be one thing for a lot of people- not giving up on the Walkman after the first or second time. Give it a chance! It used a 'drag and drop' system of transferring music from the computer onto the Walkman, something I was very thankful for since it meant no time wasted syncing to x music program. The Walkman also comes with 3 different sized earpiece cover: small, medium and large, a nice addition. And finally there's the whole water resistant feature which does work very well, but you should still be careful when running out during a heavy rain if you're into that.

I had the previous model it burned out in 9 months after long term use. So buy the warranty it is well worth it. The newer model fits so much better than the old one and has less weight. It seems to push away moisture even better then the previous model. I train 3-4 times a week, everything from running to MMA, the pieces never moved and the sound is spot on. This is a must buy for training.

The one thing about this product that I didn't like, and it was the ONLY thing, was sadly the thing that I wanted the most...for the headphones to fit. There is no adjustment for these that I've found. Whatever material they used to connect the earbuds on this version just don't hold the unit to your head correctly. The sound is great, the features have improved, but only if I physically hold the damned things to my head. And that's not why I got a hands free mp3 player.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
Amazing how much personal music devices have shrunk over the years. I went from Walkman to Discman to hard drive mp3 players to flash drive mp3 players. My current mp3 player is a Sansa clip that basically weighs almost nothing and is smaller than the proverbial matchbox. My only minor occasional gripe is that sometimes the earbud wires get in the way and this Sony even takes care of that.

Being used to earbuds for years, having something bigger attach to my ears is something that needs a little bit to get used to. And based on the other reviewers, fit varies. I've fiddled with mine, changed earpieces back and forth and I can say that with a little fiddling it fits me ok but it appears that it won't fit everyone.

Sound quality is good, I generally have no complaints because when I'm working out I'm not looking for a studio experience, there's stuff going on around me, I want to make sure I can hear cars or people yelling if something's going on. Best thing about this is that you have no wires to catch your arms on and you don't need to untangle earbud cords when you're getting ready to listen.

I love that fact that you can drag and drop music, I hate any kind of proprietary music transfer system. The only thing I miss is that it doesn't have a radio.

Overall, I like it a lot. It's very convenient. If earbud cords are your number one complaint, this is definitely something you should look into.
