Very convenient case,

I checked this case in the Sony store before purchasing through Amazon because I was afraid it wouldn't fit my 15.4" Sony Vaio but it fits perfectly! I find this case extremely convenient, light, easy to handle. I leave my notebook inside this case at home and it is not a pain to deal with, inside the AC adapter case I can also fit my mouse. It gives the notebook extra protection. But if you want a case to carry around a lot, you probably need something more sturdy and with a handle or you can use this one inside a bag, etc.

Well constructed, Some drawbacks,

I use this with a Thinkpad T61. Fit is good and the sewing seems well done. I've had the unit for about seven months as I write this.
This is a lightly padded, soft case which seems to be designed to protect the laptop when it's carried inside another bag. It does meet expectations for that protection. The drawbacks are: 1. Inserting or removing the laptop is invariably a two-handed operation. I've found that other cases with more rigidity are easier in this regard. Additionally, the case sticks to the Thinkpad's porous case, and I need to peel it off sometimes. 2. The neoprene material is a Velcro(TM) magnet, getting caught regularly on my courier bag's fastener. The smaller ditty bag is a good size to hold the charger and mouse I often carry. So...satisfactory, good points and bad points seem to even out. Three stars.

Nearly Perfect for a Dell e1505,
This review is from: Sony Neoprene Notebook and AC Adapter Cases (VGP-AMC3) (Personal Computers)
Manufacturer dimensions are 2.5" x 14" x 10.25", a loose fit on a Dell e1505 1.5" x 14" x 10.5" (Listed product detail dimensions are, according to Sony, for the VGP-AMC5). AC adapter sleeve 2.5" x 9" x 4". Perfect for additional laptop protect and organizing a few extras. AC adapter sleeve is fully lined and has a elastic strap to help secure the power supply and internal zippered pocket for small accessories. There may even be room for a small mouse, depending on the size of your power supply. Excellent value if you can find it for less than $17 w/ free shipping (I brought it at Buy. com).
Don't get this for a stand alone case. While the neoprene is a good 8th of an inch thick, it will only offer protection from minor bumps. This is best used as added protection for another carrying case (which is what I bought it for).

Adequate,

Perfectly fits a 15.4" Sony notebook. Useful for protection against spills and dust. You will need a backpack or briefcase with padding to carry your computer around since this case has none.

This is a really good secondary bag. Its a little loose on my 15.4 Vaio E-Series but it definitely does its job as a secondary bag for my backpack.

I bought this for a 15 inch Sony Vaio Laptop that I got on Black Friday. Also to have when I traveled to India, Nepal, and Switzerland. At first, when I saw this on amazon I didn't want to buy it because of how basic and boring it looked. I'm glad I gave it a shot because my laptop still looks brand new because of it. Slides in and out with ease and the side pouch comes in handy for many wires. (Ipod, cellphone charger, etc.) I would recommend this product if your looking for something not too fancy and to get the job done.

I choose this over the other $39.99 Sony EB case option because I wanted something in a black color, the addition of the ac adapter case (which can store the cord, sony bluetooth mouse, and a sony usb memory card reader together), and that it was listed for significantly cheaper than the other vaio case.
Length and width its pretty snug. The height/thickness of the case makes it feel slightly loose, but it's not that significantly loose that it bothers me. If anything, substituting some thin foam inserts within the case can add to greater protection and a snug fit. Like other reviewers, you'll need to get another carrying case or backpack for the protection your notebook needs!

This product was nice for the price paid (Sony charged at least $10 more). The one downside, in my opinion, was that I expected better/more padding than it has. I would guess the neoprene case is a mere 2/3 mm. In comparison, that is the same thickness as a surfing wetsuit. I was hoping for somewhere between 5-7mm for the extra cushion. Nevertheless, I'm satisfied.
