Vaio Mouse,

This review is from: Sony Optical Mobile Mouse for VAIO Notebooks Black (PCGA-UMS3) (Personal Computers)
I was getting back aches using the touch pad of my new laptop. The optical mouse not only solved that, but it is the most comfortbable mouse I have ever used, and I guess that I have used 7 previous mouses between my home and office computers.

This is by far the best mobile, and all around use mouse that I have used. It's very ergonomically designed, and fits you hand like a glove. Very good build quality, unlike some of the newer mice from Sony. It both looks and feels solidly built. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

First, I'm a software engineer and have been for 17 years. As such, I have, and do, use a mouse at work every day. I find the sony vaio mouse to be very low on the mouse quality scale. Not at all what I expected from sony. The first thing I noticed ab out the mouse is when I replaced my old MS mouse is that it would not track on the same desk on which I was using the old mouse. Since then I've trie 3 or 4 different mice on my desk and the sony is the only one that does not track property. It works fine on may surfaces, including my mouse pad, just not on my work desk. The next thing I noticed is that the shape and weight of the mouse are such that it cause my average size adult male hand to cramp. I think that the buttons require just a little more pressure to operate that many of my past mice, which may be compounding the problem. At any rate, this is a first for me in a long career of mousing. Additionally, the buttons have a click when you press them and when you release them. Occasionally, without producing the release click, a mouse button, when holding it down, will produce mouse button up signals which cause me to inadvertantly drop things in the wrong place. It is rather annoying.
Considering that this mouse is made by Sony and that the price is somewhat spendy for this style of mouse, I would have thought it would have been a better mouse. If you are considering this mouse, you should probably look around and try them before you buy one. |
