The memory stick pro duo 8 GB is a great item for the price point. There are bigger cards but this one holds a decent number of games, and is significantly cheaper than the next one up the totem pole.

If it isn't too irritating for you I would recommend getting a couple of these as opposed to one big one. Its a slight inconvenience and big savings. But if you have the extra scratch then just grab the big one I suppose.

That's seven fairly large games. The Final Fantasy titles alone were three to four discs long on Playstation. Give this one a go. You don't have many options anyway with Sony products and their proprietary nature.

When I ordered this product i expected the original version of the 8gb card. Turns out i received the newer version. It was a great surprise and one very welcomed. Card works great and have not had any issues. Came brand new in the original packaging. Very Satisfied.

I just recently purchased 2 PSP 3000's (one for my girlfriend and one for myself). I read the reviews for this product and it seemed like everyone was happy with their purchase so I went ahead and purchased 2 of them. I just received it in the mail and it is NOT the memory stick advertised! I contacted the seller thinking it was their mistake (on 12/23/11) and I came to find out that the 8 GB Sony PRO DUO (Mark 2) Memory Stick for PSP was DISCONTINUED! Instead I received 2 Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX. I contacted Sony about this issue and I was told that the 8 GB Sony PRO DUO (Mark 2) was indeed discontinued.

I'm not a picky person so I kept the 2 Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX that I received just to avoid the process of having to send it back, but I'm just warning everyone here that if you purchase this product you will NOT RECEIVE THE ITEM ADVERTISED!!

It's not the largest PRO Duo money can buy but it's probably the largest that can be justified on a PSP-3000. Got this for my kids' PSP-3000 because the old 4GB was almost full a few months ago. With double the space he should be okay for the next year when he expects an NGP - and I expect him to earn it with good grades :)

At this time he has a number of downloaded games: Dante's Inferno, Dissidia, God of War: Ghost of Sparta, Valkyria Chronicles II, a few minis, some music, a couple of movies... not bad.

As most Sony products, this one is not 'cheap' but, like most Sony products, it actually does what it's supposed to do and it does it well. We had zero problems migrating data from the smaller card and we've had zero problems operating the PSP ever since. Therefore: good product, somewhat high price... 4 stars (I like it).

NOTE:

It's probably worth stating that, as a Mark2 certified card, it is compatible with AVCHD recording products and other fast devices that are Memory Stick compatible - meaning it has a high 'write' speed. This doesn't matter much when used with a PSP but I just might be able to use it with a camcorder or a camera once we no longer need it for the PSP.

Got this for my nephew, so I don't know much about the games but he has added game to the PSP.

It works fine i had to open it within my computer but other than that it is in perfect condition and got here pretty quickly :D

Works well. Not much more than that. It does it job and it was reasonable priced during the time of purchase.

It's so cool to be able to hold all of my games and comics on one memory card instead of three. I love it!
