this is a great product with a 2200 MaH battery providing double the life of the 1100MaH it comes with (the psp slim) and this package comes with the coveted "fat" doors that will allow the slim to hold the bigger battery the doors come in 2 colors in this package, Piano Black and Ice Silver (jack and Daxter model) sorry folks no white yet. the battery has performed as good if not even a little better then i expected with around 6 hours of solid umd playback and 11 hours+ of gaming time or playing music. so you can't beat this package and I bet the doors in this package become very hard to get in the future. so if you are a sony PSP owner and Lover like me then you will Definately want one of these kits.

PACKAGING 5/5 -
The packaging is different than what is shown. It's now a more aesthetically pleasing plastic box.

PERFORMANCE 5/5 -

I've been playing my psp on the original slim battery and it only lasts about 4 hours. Then I started using this and it's a huge difference. I've been playing MLB:The Show 2009 for 2 1/2 hours a day for 4 days and haven't had to re-charge it. The battery meter shows 20%. I couldn't do that with the slim battery.

AESTHETICS 3/5 -

The extended battery kit comes with 2 battery covers: Silver and Black. Since I have a Daxter silver psp, I used the silver cover. The matte finish doesn't match my glossy-finish psp which is dissapointing.I feel if the cover was glossy, the bulkiness wouldn't look as bad. The black cover has a glossy finish so I don't understand why the silver doesn't.

COMPATIBILITY -

I've been hearing that if you try to use a PSP-3000 battery in a CFW-enabled PSP-2000, it will screw it up. That's not the case with the extended battery. I thought maybe Sony discontinued these batteries so they could "fix" these to prevent CFW-enabled PSPs from working. Glad I'm wrong. Also, the box mentions the battery works with all PSP models.

Overall, I would recommend psp owners to get one even if they don't do much traveling. The added weight makes my psp slim feel like an expensive product rather than a cheap toy.

Excellent battery ... I have the PSP slim and I am getting over 8 hrs of gameplay per charge. It does seem to take just a little longer to recharge than the slim, but it is worth it. The extra cover fits perfectly with just a slight bulge in the case and a slight increase in weight ... I actually have a little more to hold onto on that side now. Highly recommend over the slim battery.

Not only does this battery and kit more than double your play/watch/listen time, but in my opinion, the raised batt cover makes the psp slim easier to handle. Before, I would play for about a half hour before my right hand got tired or uncomfortable from holding my psp. The raised cover seems to give the right side the perfect thickness to hold it up with my middle finger. Some people don't like that it throws off the balance or something but seriously, it's not a big enough difference to notice. I have a silver psp so I had the right cover for mine but how big a deal is it that your batt cover match your psp? Come on?! Who really cares how your psp looks as long as it plays. I'd play with a pink one if I had to. So, I highly recommend this Kit cause the battery the psp slim comes with gives you ,if you're lucky, 2 1/2 hrs of gaming while this one gives me around 6 hrs. Get this if you have a psp slim!

Sony made a very wise move, add 2 battery covers for PSP2K
and it's 100% compatible with PSP2K
unlike off or grey market product, which is hit or miss
this battery kit is definitely good upgrade for PSP2K, though I have 1800mA/h batteries from original PSP, missing the cover that left the battery uncovered, and the game ruins when the battery falls off
the kit comes with a cover that fixed the issue
a must have for PSP2K owners, even already have 1800 or 2200mA/h battery
don't settle for less!

I purchased this battery to replace my PSP 2000's stock battery, which, after 18 months, can't last more than an hour. This 2200 mAh battery definitely increased my PSP's life between charges - there's no doubt about that. I haven't been using it long enough to approximate how long, but it's a huge improvement. Whether that's due to the 2200 capacity, or just being a new battery, or both - it's nice not having to play while plugged into the AC adapter.

I quickly noticed a problem though when I first started using it. Every once in awhile the PSP would cut out and go completely dead - even when it had a full charge. I thought maybe the battery was faulty, but it would always turn right back on and show plenty of power. I later realized it happened when the back of the PSP received any sort of bump or tap, like if I sat it down on a table or something, and figured out that the battery was losing connection with the copper pins. When I opened the battery cover it seemed to fit well enough, but it must have been loose just enough to lose connection. I fixed the problem by putting a thin piece of cardboard under the cover and pressing it back on. This seems to keep more pressure on the battery and now it takes all sorts of knocks without powering down.
