5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect Slim case
Coming into work today, I noticed that I had a few Amazon boxes waiting for me in our supply tent (I'm in Iraq at the moment). 2.0 out of 5 stars I had problems with this case w/ PSP3000
Ok. So I just got my new PSP3000, the new slim PSP with the brighter screen, and, after comparing the (identical) dimensions of the PSP3000 to those of the PSP2000 on Sony's website, and also reading all the positive reviews for the Sony PSP Slim & Lite Joytron System Skin Case, I pulled the trigger and ordered the case. I had the case in my hands 5 days after ordering it...

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect Slim case, February 28, 2008
This review is from: Sony PSP Slim & Lite (PSP2000) - Joytron System Skin Case - Crystal (Video Game)
Coming into work today, I noticed that I had a few Amazon boxes waiting for me in our supply tent (I'm in Iraq at the moment). As I started tearing into them like I was a 9 year old at Christmas, I came across a weird Joytron black and green box with Korean letters all over it...with a outline drawing of a PSP on the front. YES! My case was FINALLY in. After a few weeks of being worried about my PSP breaking when I put it in my pocket or bookbag, my case was finally here to hopefully prevent that feeling.

Inside the box there was 4 pieces sorta stuck to this big sticky plastic sheet and then also a little black stand for a bonus. My first instinct was "This is gonna be straight crap". Everything looked really cheap. Then as I began to snap the pieces on the case, evertything just seemed perfect. Every hole is accessible, every button, speakers, lights, memory stick, and strap hook. It's fantastic. Even the back opens up with absolute ease. The case is just like the psp itself, slim. I love how it's not bulky like the Sony and Logitech cases (I've seen both). I like the bigger ones also, but not NEARLY as much as I like this one.

Will this case protect your PSP from being destroyed if dropped from the Empire State building like the Sony or Logitech case? Gonna have to go with a no on that one. Will it protect it if you drop it when getting out of a car? I think so but I aint gonna try it out.

Do you have a 'skin' for your PSP? Well I got one the same day I got this case. I put the skin on first and then HOPED the case would fit. And it does. The new skin along with my my case looks excellent together. I'm VERY happy with this purchase. I was definitely worried at first thought cause it seems like no one has this case. But the worry is over thanks to Joytrons very well made case.

I really have no cons for this. I read that it cant hold the bigger battery, but I wouldnt know about that since I dont have one. The only thing that bugs me though is this doesnt appear on Amazon's search when you do a search for 'PSP case' or 'Slim case' or 'PSP Slim case'. I found this through the forums on amazon luckily.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic case!, February 22, 2008

This review is from: Sony PSP Slim & Lite (PSP2000) - Joytron System Skin Case - Crystal (Video Game)
I've searched for a case for my PSP Slim since I got it. I looked at all the silicon cases and other plastic cases. There aren't a lot of companies making PSP slim specific cases. I stumbled upon JoyTech by accident. This case seemed like a well made case without the problems of other cases. I contacted the customer service by email to make sure that they will ship to an APO address, they didn't at the time, but changed the shipping to allow it! Excellent customer service.

The case comes in a small box with Korean writing all over it, but there are instructions inside in English. The case comes wrapped in sticky plastic for protection. Installing the case was extremely easy, I didn't even use the instructions! Everything easily snaps into place, and that's it. With the case installed all the ports are available, the UMD and memory stick doors open with no problem. All the face buttons are unobstructed by the case, analog nub has full mobility, speaker holes are uncovered and even the lights on the front have little holes. Protection provided is top notch, except for the screen. The case does not cover the screen at all, but I have an InvisibleShield installed on the screen for scratch protection. There isn't any open space between the case and the PSP, it fits perfectly. Also the case comes with a little stand that holds the PSP up very well with two angles.

One downside (if you want to call it that) is that the case might be too difficult to remove, there are instructions in the case to make it easier though. If you want to change your battery all you have to do is remove one part of the case. And is you are using the bigger battery, that part of the case cannot be used.

I recommend this to anyone who wants a case for their PSP Slim. It is a great product from a great company. Buy one!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best Skin(shell) type case you can get for the PSP Slim, March 13, 2008

I like to keep my devices WELL protected, period. After buying 2 other clear cases, this one is by far the best product out there. I tried 2 other that basically hinge around the system. The problem was that the PSP was loose by just a bit in these, which can cause rub marks on your system, not good.

I have already installed a full front and back skin from Invisible Shield and needed this shell to fit OVER the skin. I like double protection.

So I read a bunch of reviews and heard about this product from a forum post. The package came in a sturdy box with a personal hand-written note attached to the product box, (no, really it was hand written). Inside the box were different pieces of the shell protected with a sticky type covering.

Hmm, this didn't look too sturdy to me. Well, I followed the instructions to the letter and after snapping on the final piece, WOW. This shell feels GREAT. Extremely well made, fits perfect and is just what I was looking for.

The UMD door is FULLY ACCESSIBLE without removing anything, big plus. All the other little spots for speakers, cords, attachments, including little holes for the lights are all there.

This shell does not cover the screen because you really want a film type protector for that to preserve the image you are seeing. I chose the Invisible Shield brand, but any will do.

If you are looking for a protective shell for your PSP Slim, look no further, this one is IT. Extremely well made, precise fit, UMD door is accessible and it looks and feels great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome case!, April 24, 2008

Recently I decided to purchase a PSP slim. Anyone who's held this piece of electronic in their hands knows it's a perfect marker board for finger prints and feels a bit fragile compared to the NDS. So, like any gamer who has a sense of responsibility to properly care of an expensive piece of electronic which mostly likely is to be used to death, I decided to search for a PSP case. Lo and behold I find the Joytron's Slim Skin Case.

The case was ordered on a Monday and arrived three days later, which is quite impressive. Everything was packed well. I immediately set to attach the case to my brand new PSP. The parts were relatively easy to put on and I had no problems. The entire case hugged the PSP just right, left just enough space for the buttons and didn't get in the way of gameplay. The case even provides easy access to the UMD slot which is quite nice. While the case is attached to the PSP it does not obstruct basic usage and access to most parts and I get to appreciate the PSP to its fullest.

One thing you will require however, if you want to fully cover your PSP, is a screen protector because the Joytron System Skin Case does not provide coverage for the screen. Most cases do not have a screen protector though and it is not too much of a problem to buy a screen protector in addition. There are many available including one which Joytron makes.

While the case is one of the more expensive ones out there, about 20 USD, its well worth the price compared to the cheaper quality ones that make your PSP slim look and feel like a brick. It provides the right amount of coverage and isn't too chunky. I'm really happy with the Joytron case. It even comes with a useful little stand perfect for watching movies on the PSP.

5.0 out of 5 stars You won't find a better case!, June 2, 2008
This review is from: Sony PSP Slim & Lite (PSP2000) - Joytron System Skin Case - Crystal (Video Game)
I had an original psp and now the psp 2000. I have also owned a few carefully selected cases. None of them compare to this. Here's an easy to read list of the features I like:

It's easy to put on. You really don't even need the instructions to figure it out.

It fits perfectly. Very tight, no play in it at all.

The UMD drive, memory card slot and all buttons are accessible without taking off the case. You can even attach accessories.

It feels good. For me, it makes the PSP a little more comfortable to hold, without adding a lot of bulk. (I have rather large hands.)

I think it enhances the look rather than detracting like a lot of cases.

Finally, it gives the extra protection I want without going overboard. I had a metal case for my original PSP. It was tough but not convenient.

The only thing I recommend in addition to this, is a screen protector.

5.0 out of 5 stars This case keeps your Slim PSP slim, May 13, 2008

This review is from: Sony PSP Slim & Lite (PSP2000) - Joytron System Skin Case - Crystal (Video Game)
I like this case a lot because it is thin and protects my PSP from scratches, dust, and fingerprints. However, I am often worried that the thin hinges that lock the top and bottom parts of the case together will break and that the part that protects the UMD cover will fall off. Despite the cons, this is best case that I have come across during my research...and the one that I purchased and am satisfied with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Skin Case!!, April 22, 2008
This review is from: Sony PSP Slim & Lite (PSP2000) - Joytron System Skin Case - Crystal (Video Game)
I've been searching for a long time to find a case just like this. It snuggly fits the new PSP slim version to a tee... I would gladly recommend this product if you want to keep the smudges and scratches off your expensive toy. All the ports are open and accessible, even the UMD door. Nuri Tech seems to be an up and coming company, very impressed, even had a handwritten letter of thanks with the order!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best system case/shield you will ever find for your PSP Slim!, April 18, 2008

Ever since I first got the PSP Slim (aka PSP-2000), I have never been able to find a good system case for it. Logitech and Mad Catz have not created a case or skin for the PSP Slim. I've been using a silicone skin, but the problem is that dust gets caught underneath and it doesn't provide much impact protection.

I stumbled upon the Nuritech Joytron System Skin Case and was skeptical at first. However, I took a chance and decided to purchase it. With that said, I have to say that I wish that this case had been available when the PSP Slim first came out.

Upon receiving the product, it was well-packaged and even came with a hand written note addressed to me thanking me for my purchase. The box has Korean print on it because it is a Korean product, but there are still instructions in English.

The case itself comes in 4 parts (faceplate, UMD cover, and 2 backside covers). The parts are wrapped in plastic wrap to avoid any prior scratching or dust collection. It takes about 10 seconds to assemble.

Once assembled, it looks awesome. The plastic is very thin and light, but it is hard and strong enough to provide adequate protection. Since I bought the clear case, I can now see my Darth Vader design in the back and I'll be sure to create my own custom skins to put underneath the case. The case is also very sleek and fits perfectly. What I like the most about the case is that it provides protection for the UMD drive. I dropped my PSP when I had the silicone skin and I scratched the top of the UMD drive because most skins do not provide protection of the UMD drive.

All in all, this is an excellent product that you will no doubt be happy with. They have amazing customer service and I feel comfortable knowing that my PSP is fully protected and it looks sweet.

Thank you Nuri Tech!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great PSP case, but get a separate screen protector!, April 17, 2008
This review is from: Sony PSP Slim & Lite (PSP2000) - Joytron System Skin Case - Crystal (Video Game)
There isn't much choice at the moment for PSP Slim owners looking for a sturdy case; most of the accessories built for the older PSP just do not fit well with the slightly tinier Slim, and a lot of the slim cases leave much aesthetics and protection to be desried. Given the scarce market, I was happy to give Nuri's "crystal system case" a shot.

First thing I thought when I opened the cardboard shipping box was the slick packaging, which, along with the handwritten note thanking me for buying a Nuri product, provided great customer service from the get-go. Inside the black box lay an instruction booklet and a four pieces of plastic: the large front cover, and three separate pieces for the rear (plus a limited-time little plastic stand). The middle piece snaps onto the Slim's new foldout UMD tray, and the front cover snaps with the left and right rear covers to completely enclose your PSP.

Nuri did a good job making the case conform to the curves of the PSP; the case is undoubtedly slim, and the clear plastic allows your underlying PSP designs peer though. The plastic itself is hard, but not meant to withhold tremendous amounts of force. All of the PSP's numerous ports and buttons are available, a nice feature that prevents you from wearing out the small plastic snap joints. It makes for a handsome frame around the well-designed PSP.

The downsides? The case does not come with any form of screen protection (but Nuri does sell PSP screen pretectors, separately), and $20 places this case on the high end of protective casings on the market. For the PSP owner willing to spend the money to keep their machine pristine yet attractive, this is the perfect case to get.

5.0 out of 5 stars One case you won't take off your PSP after a week!, April 5, 2008
By
This review is from: Sony PSP Slim & Lite (PSP2000) - Joytron System Skin Case - Crystal (Video Game)
Everything you read is true! After reading a multitude of reviews about various crystal clear cases for the PSP slim model, and checking out cases available in B&M stores, I finally chose to get the joytron (nuritech) case.

It was a relief to find that Nuritech actually did what no one else seemed to - they produced a case that fits PERFECTLY. Every connector port, button, and door is fully accessible, and yet my psp is completely protected from dust, scratches, and fingerprints.

The case also adds very little bulk, so that my psp still fits in a soft travel case for extra protection on the road. Just like other reviews said, it appears very thin when you take it out of the box - but it took 2 seconds to snap it on my PSP and voila! It's awesome. Any other case will pale in comparison!
