The Only Way for Latinoamerica,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sony Playstation Network Card - $50 (Video Game)
I purchase this card and I sent it from amazon to Costa Rica, because I want the Map Pack 1, 2 and 3($9.99 each) from the Call of Duty WAW.
I tried to buy dollars to my wallet in the PlayStation Store (in my ps3 slim) with my credit card, that have the billing address in LA, California, but it didn't work any way. So, I purchase it and now I can play the 3 map packs. There is true that we need to spend more money($5-6 to shipping, $3 taxes, $7 to bring to CR: $65 total) to get this card, but is the only way to get some add-on, games, themes or something else in the outside of US like Latinoamerica.

Sony makes purchasing games on their Playstation Network incredibly hard. I entered my credit card a dozen different ways, entered things exactly as they appear on my billing statement, and even looked through their FAQ online, but still couldn't add anything to my PSN wallet.
So my Plan B was to purchase a PSN Card. Holy cow, the overhead is ridiculous. Let's look at the numbers: 1. $50 charge for money that you can use in PSN. This is a given. 2. There is also shipping and handling. This added a few more dollars. 3. I was also charged taxes on the card. So, after all was said and done, I got my card delivered to me for a little less than $60. But that isn't the whole story. I purchase a few games online. Each game I buy online, I get taxed again for THAT purchase too. Outrageous. I thought this was my only option for getting money into my account, but now I see the overhead isn't worth it. I'll definitely try getting some other credit card account going, or something, before trying this again. Maybe you are in a similar pickle as me, and if you are: I feel your pain. I do.

Good Product but lousy provider (Target),

The card and the Playstation Network work fine, on the other hand the card's seller, Target, does not give a good and honest service.
They sell stuff that is said to be on stock and charge for express delivery, but in every purchase I've made from them through Amazon, they deliver extremely late and in parts. Amazon did reimburse me for my last express shipping fee, but I was never able to contact Target. So Amazon great, Target lousy.

I bought this product because I live in Costa Rica and the PlayStation Network doesn't allow me to pay from here. I have to pay $50 + shipping... once the product arrived here, I have to pay taxes for the product and pay the shipping to my country. And once I entered the code on my PS3, they charged me some taxes for every game I buy. All the games have price with some decimals on it, so know I bought like 5 games. Now I can't spend $1.8, nothing is that cheap. It's the only solution I got to buy from PSN. PlayStation should email the codes or something. Taxes + shipping + more taxes, this card goes like to $70, and for 3 remakes and 2 PSOne classics?

Why pay more money than the card is worth? Cheaper to purchase locally, or via PlayStation directly. Your local 7-11, Wal-mart or grocery store will likely have them for dollar-for dollar value.

the only thing that holds me back from buying it is the shipping cost, i live in kuwait and this will cost me over 20$ to get it to kuwait.
and since sony wont accept my card then i almost buy from PN once every 2 months. if it was more easy from sony side i would have got more.

NOTE: There are a lot of frauds in the PSN world, using code generators to generate PSN codes, while that might be great if you get away with it, if Sony catches you using one of these codes, they will BLOCK your PS3 from accessing the Playstation Network! Please be weary, these cards are only available in $10, $20 and [...][...]. No other denominations! On some other sites are offering $100 and $150 but require you to give your PSN ID and password to them to 'deposit' the credit or they set up a new account and sell it to you with the credit. These most likely are fraudulent and by using such, you are risking your online experience with your PS3 not to mention you won't be able to use the credit you purchased.
As for the card I bought, it came in a sealed package, I scratched the back, entered the code and it worked perfectly. I have already used the credit to purchase some games. I'm from another country (Trinidad and Tobago) and I don't know what taxes these other people are talking about. I wasn't able to add my credit card to PSN's site but with the card I was able to buy the games at the listed price. I wasn't charged any other taxes on checkout. And you do have to confirm your purchase at checkout, so if you are being taxed for a game and you think you shouldn't, change it... not sure if where you're from all games will be taxed, but it's worth a try. You'll also want to try looking for a good deal when buying the card. I bought my [...] card for $43.99 plus $3.99 Shipping & Handling for a total of $47.98 which is less than even the [...] on the card. So spending $60+ is just bad business. So lets see, that's $47.98 for a [...] card and no taxes. That's a great deal! Not to mention my PS3 still has access to PSN.

This card is available at cost at times on amazon directly from sony as a code. At times it is unavaiable, try best buy then. Don't pay fees to third parties.

I'd much rather use a PSN card than enter my credit card number on the network, but the price here is ridiculous. If you just go to another website, such as gamestop, you can get a $50 card digitally for $50.
