I just recently purchased this product and it is a great unit. The sound quality is good (I personally upgraded my headphones) and there is no skip thanks to ESPMax. I also run around a lot so it really is a good workout player. The AVLS system is wonderful and helpful. Megabass is great! Also, the lid is heat resistant which helps when out in the sun. But best of all is the digital AM/FM tuner! It's great because if I get tired of listening to my CDs, I can just press a button and boom! The radio is on! Overall I found this product to be fun and practical. Hope this review was of help to you!

I DID ALOT OF SHOPPING AROUND TO RPLACE MY 2 MONTH OLD CD PLAYER, THAT HAD ALREADY BROKEN. AFTER READING THE REST OF THE REVIEWS, I DECIDED TO BUY THIS ONE. AND I SURE AM GLAD I DID! IT IS AWESOME. IT WAS BETTER THEN WHAT I HAD SUSPECTED. THERES AWESOME BASS, AND THERES AN AWESOME, 25 FM STAION PRESET, AND 5 STATION AM PRSET, RADIO! I WOULD REALLY VERY MUCH RECCOMEND THIS ITEM, ITS JUST GREAT!

I got this CD player, and it works great! The FM/AM radio is great, and you don't have to move to hear it right when your in the house. The bass boost system is really good, but it only works with the CD playback. It doesn't skip with the ESPMAX on, and I don't think it is a 48 second anti-skip mode, because all you do is open the lid, and move the ESPMAX switch to on. It's battery life with the radio on is usually about 66 hours, and with the CD playback with ESPMAX on it's 24 hours, and with it off is 25 hours. The AVLS(Automatic Volume Limiter System)works great too, although I don't use it. This CD player is really a great deal!

My Grandfather had bought me this a couple of years ago and it lasted me up intill a couple of days ago well let me tell you I am the worst when it comes to dropping things! I was always dropping it. Well when it broke i decided to but a new one I went through a long list of nearly 200 and still found myself liking this one best!

My mom had bought me this Cd player for my birthday or Christmas, I forgot which one. Sony know's how to make their stuff last, let me tell you. This thing is virtually skip free, even when the surface that it's playing on shakes and quakes it won't skip at all. And I just love the little "W" logo they have on it,haha. What's even better about this Cd Walkman is that it has radio presets. Talk about the icing on the cake. Among the Cd player options are bass, repeat,ESP, AVLS, and some other options. Did I mention the D-F20 is rugged like the streets of Brooklyn? No joke, one night I was walking to my mom's tax office where she works from a real estate class I had. Well, I had accidentally dropped it on the concrete sidewalk, I'm so clumsy. After I picked it up I thought it would've had some irreparable damage...but it didn't! I pressed play again and it was as if I never even dropped it. Sony makes some durable walkman cd players man. This thing has been a dream to own. If you're not an audio know it all like myself and/or if you're just looking for a reliable Cd player then follow my simple rule: When it comes to portable audio, stick with Sony.

I bought this unit a few days ago. The main reason I bought it because i knew I could trust the Reliability of sony. The last Cd palyer I had to buy was a sony,That was 8 years ago. Also I wanted the am/Fm tuner jst in case I got board with my Cds. The day I bought he unit from cicuit city I went home to mow the lawn Thinking that is had the ESP on,it did not skip once.When I finished the lawn i went to change the cd, I discoverd that the ESP was not even on! My point is ifyou realibility, quality and great sound without both a separt cd palyer and am/fm walkman I suggest the Sony Portable CD Player w/ AM/FM Tuner (DF20)

the small handy portable cd player is very efficent.its like having 2 electronic devices for the price of one.now, you can listen to the radio and the cd player.its ok if there is no mp3 player because not alot of people like to download music.i think this is the best cd player on amazon.com

A great CD player the radio is awesome, almost no static. The CD never skips. The headphones as usual are horrible but with proper ones the sound quality is great. Huge battery life on [less costly] batteries. Much better than my [other player].

A GREAT BUY

I got this fine product Christmas 2001 and it has worked wonderfully! It doesn't have mp3 Playback, the battery time is adequate, and I think it's great that it has the ability to receive AM/FM transmissions. The only problem I have ever encountered with it is that sometimes (although rarely), when playing a CD, it suddenly starts making a loud crackling noise. This problem is easily fixed though, just pause it or search a few seconds ahead or back and it stops. This is a must buy if you want a durable portable CD player with AM/FM Digital Tuner, adequate battery life, that doesn't cost that much!

I bought this cd player a week ago. I love it. It may seem expensive but it is worth the money. Also you can pick it up the day you order it. It has everything you need. If you are looking for a good quailty cd player go with this one. I love it.
