Allows you to attach ANY of the countless available XLR microphones to your PCM-D1 or PCM-50, really increasing the recording possibilities. Comes with a bracket to attach it underneath your recorder, and a separate bracket for mounting side-by-side.

NOT a preamp
The title of this product is misleading. This is not a preamp, only an XLR to 1/8 inch adapter. Perfect for minidisc and Sony's new PCM-D recorders. It provides no gain, but nice matched phantom power for microphones. As such, it is a bit overpriced, but it will get the job done.
