I have a hot tub with a Sony marine stereo built into the side. This means you can turn it on / off before you get in, but then you're stuck with whatever is on the radio.I bought this unit, mounted it next to the tub in a gray weatherproof electrical box, ran conduit from the box to the stereo and voila! I can now turn it on / off, change the source, control volume and skip tracks on CDs without getting out of the tub. It came with a 20 foot extension for the main control cable, but I had to buy extensions for the red & black power cables.

Nice remote. Buttons are easy to use. Color shows up well at night. Install was simple and straight forward. I installed this unit on my swim platform of a 28 foot cabin cruiser boat. Cord was plenty long enough to go from cabin to rear of the boat.

I bought this with a Sony marine stereo, they were listed as "bought together" in the past so I figured they went together. They were not compatible and the company refuses to return/refund. Do your homework before you buy. All Sony remotes do not work with all Sony products. Their ad should say that, and now they refuse to return.
