I'm very pleased with this unit. My first experience was it falling from my pocket onto the street. No damage! (Maybe I got lucky) It did a good job of pulling in a VERY VERY WEAK AM station. I need to listen to that station for and during football games and usually have a VERY difficult time with the reception. This unit managed to hold that station even indoors though a couple of times I had to juggle the unit's direction a bit. The FM reception is great. This is a powerful unit powered by two AAA batteries. It had no problems driving my computer speakers! :) The ear buds are pretty good for ear buds (I don't like them in general)since they have a firm metal head band holding them to your head you don't have to push them all the way inside your ear like you have to for those without the firm head bands. It's also helpful that they label the unit L and R since the ear bud's speaker is directional. Overall I'm VERY pleased with this unit. The buttons are easy to get to and having station presets is fantastic. The unit is VERY lightweight and easy to take everywhere. My only complaint is with the belt clip, which DOESN'T clip firmly enough, which is why the unit fell out of my pocket in the first place. :)

Mine finally died after 10 years of hard use. The thing is a bit bulky but the radio is very rugged. Picks up both AM and FM stations very well. If you like your FM music LOUD without distortion, this radio is for you. Requires 2 AAA batteries where as most "sports" radios only have one. One battery isn't enough power to play music loud and distortion free.

I've dropped mine a couple times and sometimes you'll lose all the station presets but resetting them is simple.
The belt loop is rugged and secure as well. Too bad Sony doesn't make this any more

I have it for almost three years. I take it for long jog. My only complain is more memory for radio station and easier way to replace the batteries

Its light and works with my workout. Plus the price is very attractive

These days 10 preset stations for a radio is not much, and it also is a little oversized. What I like about it is the clock and -especially- the timer that lets you listen for a certain number of minutes (between 1 and 120) before it stops the radio and starts beeping. Of course, if you turn it off/on before the set time, the radio will not stop, and the beep will not sound. Tuning is very good but sound is not the best (a personal opinion, certainly).

I had a big block sony walkman am/fm cassette player, so it was a no-brainer to purchase a slim narrow am/fm sony walkman, it has 10 pre-sets for your listening pleasure but I love the slim narrow design
