Flat, cold sound,

Ever lived next door to someone who loved to play music on their great sound system? Thats how these speakers sound. No, not like a great sound system -- like the sound coming through a wall. Everything I play on these speakers sounds flat, dull, and cold. They get loud, but who wants to listen to such numb speakers? It sounds like the music is coming through cardboard or a wall or something.
NOT recommended at all. I've never had Sony speakers before, but if they can't make slightly decent speakers for this price I'm sure not going to pay them more for a better Sony system. I recommend Altec Lansing, Boston Acoustics, or Klipsch speakers if you can find some in this price range. Actually, anything should be better!

I bought this speaker set from best buy, I'd say 6 Months ago, and I have them hooked directly to my hp Elite Desktop System and they bump. Not an obnoxious bump, extremely clear w/ really tight bass (tight meaning= no crackling, distortion, only very clear vocals with the perfect treble to crisp bass ratio, this way all can enjoy, even the neighbors :l (whether they want to or not) he-he they're always blasting their music so I feel it's only fair and necessary to return the favor. All kidding aside even though I wasn't kidding, these speakers got a bad wrap from someone who probably hooked them up to a 1500watt receiver and got a little to into there Brittany spears album, and they didn't stand a chance against 1500watts of Brittany at full blast. So just for the record these speakers when used with the proper applications meant for them) Here are a few examples of Great uses for these speakers: *Computer system (Obvious) *I've even hooked them up to my Blu-Ray Player and listened to music like if it were a bookshelf stereo *do not hook into a receiver you will blow them, they aren't made for that type of significant power, although neither is any 2.1 speaker systems or 2.0= two speakers .1= sub (Not So Obvious) *These also make a great difference when hooked into the back of your TV while watching a movie *Playing PS3 or your preferred Gaming System. (Sony+Sony=Perfection) So in setting the record straight, I still own these and they function as if it were the day I got em. Compare to: Altec Lansing VS4621 Octane 7, 2.1 Computer Speaker |
