The speakers are ready to use out of the box; but the quality is just acceptable. They are quite good for their size, and obviously don't take up much space on the computer desk.

I hooked these up, and put them back in the box.I sent them right back to Amazon. A+++++ for Amazon! Great service, as for the speakers a big D-MINUS !!!!!
