It's cute, compact, lightweight (easily transportable). Not the deep rich sound I hoped for, but I'm pleased enough. The fact that it charges the player while it plays is a definate plus, oh as well as the cute little remote control. This is supposed to be compatible with my MP3, but the cradle doesn't hold the attachment that came with the Walkman properly and I've been unable to get support at Sony to help rectify the situation.

This product sits on my kitchen countertop and takes up no space at all. The sound that comes out of it is superb. We recently remodeled our basement and considered a stereo system, however, this docking station will do just fine! And the remote is great!

The docking speaker had enough weight to make you think it could provide quality sound but it simply didn't. It is absolutely too much money for such poor quality sound.

This is a great little dock station for the Sony Walkman. We bought one for our 13yr old daughter who plays it daily. It plays her music and keeps her sony charged. There are only a couple docks out there for the walkman. This one is small, easy to use with a remote and has great sound.
Note: before you purchase one, make sure your walkman has the "WM port" on the bottom of the player. Some do not have it and cannot "dock" to be cbarged. you would have to use the aux input to play music, but could not charge your device.

Must say I was disappointed. Unable to use the remote to play/pause, fast forward, rewind, or search. The description failed to inform that it only works with many of the walkman mp3 players if you buy an adapter for the players which costs $30. It was very difficult to even find this out. It took several phone calls to sony help line before I was informed of this. The sound is fine for me, I only listen to books on tape. Can't comment for music. The remote does work to turn the speaker itself on and off. Just feel the description should have stated for most walkman players with use of adapter and where to get it.

Not a bad little speaker for a Sony MP3 - there are so few options for Sony MP3's that aren't a cord out of the headphone jack that this one is probably the best for the money. The speakers don't have a lot of range or volume, but they sound ok and it is simple for my 8 year old to use. I like that it charges the MP3 player while playing or storing and serves as a good place to keep the device so it doesn't get lost.

I had received a Sony Walkman for Christmas this year. I was excited when I found this speaker on-line. When I received it, it was not what I expected. First of all, it didn't even fit my device. It said that it would fit a Sony Walkman, but I found out there is more than 1 kind of Sony Walkman and they have different size docking mounts. Mine didn't fit. Also, I was disappointed in the size of the speaker. I cannot comment on the sound since I wasn't able to plug my MP3 into it.

I did not go down the iPod route but bought a Sony MP3 player -this unit is built for my player and it works great. I now own 2 of these one in my bed room and one at my desk at work. The sound is very good and I love the remote control unit. Very easy to set up and use. The down side is that the form factor keeps it from very high quality audio fidelity. Its has very good sound for its size! Its 4.5 stars.

First of all, this speaker is the only one that you can actually put a walkman in without using an adapter cord so I was really pleased. This dock speaker is compact (much smaller than I thought, which is a good thing) and the sound is superior. I never thought I would get such great sound from a "portable" dock speaker. It can be taken anywhere with just a few batteries. I ordered it one day and it was here the next--fantastic shipping and very reasonable. I would most definitely recommend this product.
