It is a great purchase.
It traveled to Costa Rica, and when I got it, I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on it. It works like a charm.
Great computer. The 4gb of Ram will prevent your computer from stucking in a process. No matter how many processes you are running.
Batery lasts less than the promissed 4 hours.
It is an all purpose computer. It works for anything.
Highly recommended.

I was extremely glad to find this computer, as it's one of the few computers that still has a built-in modem. The best part, in my opinion, is a single, simple, one-touch button to mute the thing; I prefer my computers to be the strong, silent type. The only thing I'd change about it would be a white keyboard, which would be so much easier to see, but I'll eventually dig up a light for it. It's a GOOD piece of equipment!!

Bought for my son to go to college and he loves it! It has everything you would need for school, home, whatever.

Purchased this for my wife to replace Toshiba. My wife has really enjoyed using the computer and likes its features. It even came with a free upgrade to Windows 7 which was easy to received by going online with Sony. The proof is in the pudding on how long this laptop will work, since Toshibas only lasted 3 years before problems. This unit was loaded so hope it lasts longer.
