This review is from: Sony VAIO(R) VPCF122FX/H F Series 16.4" Notebook PC - Titanium Gray (Personal Computers)
Well I would first like to say that I didn't actually purchase this laptop on Amazon. I looked at all of the other laptops at our Nebraska Furniture Mart and found this one. I've only had this computer for a week and have really put this laptop to the grinding-stone.
Games run at a 4 out of 5.
They NVIDIA card is great for handling high end titles. I just ran Mafia II without a hitch. The settings for graphics were cranked up except for the new NVIDIA APEX engine. The settings needed to be a little lower. If you are looking for a rig that destroys games, look for another laptop. Settings usually run at high but might need to tone down some features. Plays MW2, Battlefield BC2, and Fall Out 3 well too. If you're a WoW person imagine how well it would run on this laptop.
System Resources are 5 out of 5.
More RAM will be needed for this computer. The i7 processor handles everything and I haven't been able to top 60% usage yet, but the RAM gets sucked up rather quickly. Its usage is usually at 50% at all times which is due to many Windows 7 services and Sony's RAM hungry media software. I recommend 8 gigs for sure.
Extra Features earn 5 out of 5.
The Blu-ray drive, LED lit keyboard, HDMI-out Port, Optical-out port, WebCam, built-in Microphone, etc...All very nice. The laptop can even adjust screen brightness and keyboard light intensity all on its own. Its pretty cool.
Overall, great product.
