4.0 out of 5 stars I love this computer, but..., December 5, 2010

This is a great computer. I especially like the power, the Blu-Ray player, and the HDMI output port. Does any laptop computer have HDMI Input? The 640 gig HDD is also nice, but even bigger would be better if you are using the computer for Hi-Def video editing.

It isn't perfect. The firewire port won't work with my Canon Hi-Def video camera, but it works with my Canon Standard-Def camera. I have an Express card firewire port that works with both cameras, so it must be the Sony at fault. The eSATA port doesn't seem to work either. If those worked and if it could BURN Blu-Ray (and didn't cost so much) it would be perfect.

2.0 out of 5 stars Worst laptop ever., July 5, 2011

This review is from: Sony VAIO(R) VPCF125FX/H F Series 16.4" Notebook PC - Titanium Gray (Personal Computers)
All right, let make it straight. First of all, this is not my first laptop as well as not my second. This is the third laptop that I ever have. My first one was a Dell still working fine after 5 years and the second one was Hp and also still working fine after 3 years. After graduate from highschool i decide to try something new but reliable, and i heard sony is well know for this model so i bought this but I had made the wrong move. It's looked very nice outside as well as the backlit key light is very helpful when you work at night. However, things started to happen in my 12 months with this laptop. The windows start to crash repeatedly, and in one beautiful day it decided to not working anymore. However, i know a little about laptop so i decided to open the back case to see what going on (my first laptop got so dirty in the memory card that make the computer could not connect to the card, so when i boot up it does not start; therefore, i want to try the same thing with this hope it help but it was not). Then after 14 hours trying to fix my laptop, I finally gave up and call sonystyle. They said the original laptop does not come with the crappy Toshiba HDD as well as it only use samsung memory card in this model. That means my dealer has took some of the factory parts out my laptop and put some crap into it. I will never know about this if i did not open my laptop and call sonystyle to ask them. I paid 1280$ for this laptop and after not even a year i do not want to use it anymore. It might be only happen with me because my girlfriends also has a sony and it never has any problem with it. So, people, i hope my review make you have a better view about this laptop. And again, it maybe only happen with me so i did not really think sony make this laptop that bad at all. I am just an unlucky guy with a $1280 crappy laptop.
