So far , so good
Batteries like this can be tricky. You don't know if you have a good one until after several months of use. So far , so good on this one. It charged up fine and seems to be keeping a charge. I bought the same model in January from another seller (THE BATTERY CENTER) and it is already useless and I could never get a response from the company. Fingers crossed on this one!

I too, purchased this item as it came up at the TOP of the search results as replacement battery VGP-BPS9/B for my Sony VAIO laptop. It is presented here as a replacement battery for the VGN-N series notebook, which I have. The photo shown above is IDENTICAL to the battery I need, but when I received the item I found it could not be installed. It turns out that there are is a tiny notch missing from both sides of the battery, which prevents it's installation! Clearly, this is NOT the correct replacement. Now I am forced to return it, as well. Buyer beware!

Battery doesn't fit my laptop, this part shows up as the first search result when searching Amazon for a Sony VGP-BPS9 replacement - but its not - it almost fits, but there is a tiny notch that is different. Otherwise looks like a decent battery. Had to send it back.

I bought this for my Sony Vaio VGN-C260E. Fits perfectly. After installing it and following the directions to charge it. I used my laptop, plugged in with the battery for a week. Then I took it off the power cord and used it just on the battery. There was no audio during battery-only use, but I checked email and surfed the web. It does not last very long. Extremely diappointed. The second time I used it only on the battery after being fully charged, I used it for 20 minutes. Then one day later, I used my laptop only on battery and it lasted 5 minutes, for a total of 25 minutes over two days.I do not recommend this battery at all!
