This is definetley something you need if you have a 30mm compatible camera or adaptor. The 4 point cross filter is great for shooting photos at night especially out around town or touring a city you've never been to. Any place where there are alot of lights at night; you will then be pretty thankful for this. You can even achieve amazing results by zooming into a bright moon at night and get a fantastic image.

The soft filter works great also. Especially for those picture savy people who like to look good in their pictures hah. That's pretty much the only use for that.

It also comes in a great protective case that is sleek and small and can fit into your pocket. Another bonus!

One more thing. Both of these can be screwed onto each other if you want thanks to the generous amount of thread left on the top! Or you can mix them up with other brand lenses as long as there is enough threading on the top... You can also screw them onto the bottom of any wide angle or telephoto lens to achieve MAXIMUM results! haha. Have fun with these! You wont regret buying them unless they don't fit on your camera/adaptor or something.

I use this for Sony DSC-P73. The night filter works fine.

I bought this lens filter kit in May 2004 for my Sony digtal video TRV33. They work fine, but you cannot protect the filters since the Sony lens cap does not fit !! So you need to un-screew the lenses each time after use. The reason I bought the kit was primarily to protect the carl zeiss lens for scrathces etc. via putting on the UV-filter... But now the UV-filter gets scratched since the lens cap cannot protect the UV-filter. Sony never replied to me about this and so far it is NOT possible to buy a 30mm lens cap from sony (or anywhere else apparantly). I have called and visited MANY photoshops, but so far no luck. I have therefore almost not used the kit and that's simply not good enough, that Sony doesn't put in a lens cap with the kit !!! If anyone can tell me where I can get a 30mm lens cap I'd be happy :-) Others than that, the kit is nice, but only 2 stars due to the lacking lens cap and therefore the limited use.. or the work with screewing the filters on and off each time you use them so they don't get scratched... Maybe it's only with the Sony TRV14-33 series of video cams, I'm not sure about that.
NB: I live in Denmark, but bought the kit in USA.

I especially like the one that makes the stars. Very easy to use.
