I've owned this computer for a week. I really love it. Don't find anything wrong with this product. Someone said it makes a noise when you use it. But it doesn't happen with mine. Reasonable price and Very good design make me recommend this computer to others.

Only had this computer a few days and I love it! No tower to mess with, very fast processing speed. Doesn't make a peep of noise compared to my old piece of junk that whirred if you were online and updating software at the same time. Very nice, clear screen. This is a early review but thus far very happy. Will update if I have problems in the future.

I researched many desktops and I found this Sony to be the best for me. I looked at Dell and HP all in one desktops, but I really didn't want a touch screen. I finally looked into Sony and read as many reviews as I could find, and decided on the Sony VAIO VGC-JS430F/S. This computer has everything I wanted and more. It is also very attactive, which was important, since it sits in my kitchen area. I really loved the price I got through Amazon, about $50.00 cheaper than buying it locally! I owned my last desktop for ten years so I know that this one will suit my needs for a long time.

My sister is a non-geek and only wanted a computer that's simple to use and very reliable. Ideally I wanted to get her an all-in-one iMac but all her files were in either Wordperfect or Quatro Pro, and these programs are not available for the Mac. I chose the Vaio with Win7 and she's delighted with it. It took her a bit to get used to Win7 (was using Win XP for years) but once the short learning curve was mastered, she's been very happy with the computer.

The Vaio's case is silver-colored plastic and attractive, but unfortunately not the gorgeous and durable aluminum of the iMac. That said, it is a great computer for Windows users at home or for students in small dorm rooms. It takes up no more space than a comparable 20" monitor, with respectable built-in speakers that produce quite decent sound. The matte screen is wonderful, sharp and produces vivid colors without being over-saturated. Thankfully the screen is not the glossy glass that's becoming so popular these days, unfortunately including the latest iMacs (the glare! the glare!).

The USB mouse feels a bit cheap but works flawlessly. The keyboard is simply excellent and reminiscent of the iMac's very thin aluminum model. The keys travel a very short distance and have a positive feel that makes typing very pleasant and fast.

The built-in webcam is nearly invisible, appearing as a tiny hole in the center of the top bezel. I installed Skype software and was able to get my sister up and running in minutes. We now regularly video Skype each other several times a week between her place in Canada and mine in Florida, and the video is almost like being right there.

It's a no-brainer to set up, so I highly recommend this computer for relative technophobes. Over all, I highly recommend this model. Note: If you live in Canada, many London Drugs stores offer excellent servicing and training if you need it for your Vaio. I was blown away by their service when I was there this summer.
