For the price, you can't beat this laptop. Only downside is that it comes loaded with Windows Vista and the SonyStyle website does not have XP drivers to download, but I googled around and managed to find XP drivers on forums and blogs. I highly recommend downgrading to XP and increasing the memory to 2GB. Screen is very bright and crisp. WiFi is flawless. All white finish is nice. Definite buy!

I've had this laptop for a month now and it has been great, I would suggest upgrading the RAM to 2 GB for Vista but other than that I have really enjoyed this laptop. One of my favorite things about it is the keyboard actually, it is designed to be quieter/softer and its nice that that is something Sony thought about in a cheaper laptop. I got this laptop on sale for $750.00 and you can't beat that price for what you're getting.

I ordered this computer a while back. I have been using it for several months as a student for school. The hardware on this computer is excellent, but the first thing that I did was remove vista.

When you have all the correct XP drivers it runs XP very well. I am currently dual-booting with Ubuntu Gusty and Windows XP professional. Everything works like it should.

There are a few things about this notebook that I don't like. There are only 2 usb ports. Which can easily be worked around if you have a separate $10 hub. And it is difficult to open as the weight of the notebook is closer to the hinge so when you lift up the cover, you have to use two hands.

However I can't really complain, when I was looking for a notebook I wanted a harddrive over 100GB, a nice screen, a dvd burner, and a core2 duo processor. This thing serves those purposes very well.

The PC works great, is fast, and looks good too. The screen is gorgeous.

My only concern is the weight is concentrated in the rear of the computer, so when you try to lift the screen, it tilts the computer instead of opening.

The PC though is OUTSTANDING.

Also, to all those worried about Vista, I haven't had a problem. Everything that was in XP is in Vista, it just looks different and may be different to access. I find with some patience and an open mind, it is very nice and easy.

I bought this product mainly because of its price.
My surprise was that (even running on vista) the laptop is quite fast and reliable.

Finally, after 1 month of searching on the web for an affordable laptop i found this laptop, it's just as i want, cheap basic laptop with nice design and properties, me and my friend bought 2 of it, i found it quick as much as I need, it has a little bit slow startup because of the Windows Vista and the only 1 GB RAM memory, but once it start it turn fast and smooth, the screen also is great, but it's slightly heavy.

Works great! Exactly as Described. But needed the memory upgrade, after that it was perfect!

new as advertise!! but this laptop create me a lot of trouble, the memory is insufficient for work with Windows Vista, need to be sold with 2X 1024 MB or 1 X 1024MB for have the possibility for update memory not with 2X 512 MB that is give you no space for update memory.
