Based on comparison with an authentic Sony battery, I suspect the battery I received was counterfeit - a generic battery with a Sony sticker slapped onto it. I think an incorrect charge might have even contributed to the ultimate failure of my built-in battery. The company sent me a replacement which did not work at all. When I sent both back for a refund they came up with a story about how they hadn't provided the battery that I returned. I ultimately gave up but suggest that you AVOID this vendor!!!

Works fine.

It is not the exact same as compared to the original adapter that came with the laptop.

A) The power plug has three pins instead of two.
B) I have a SZ330P and sometimes the wire is getting unplugged from the laptop because the pin that is going into the laptop is longer than the original one (It doesn't fit well like the original)

This item does not work. I have not taken the time to return it, but it sits on the table in front of me, mocking me in its uselessness.

Although I used the exact model number on my existing adapter to order my replacement, the adapter that I received was not an exact replacement. The cord that plugs into the wall is round and thicker than my original--although, this may not be a bad thing since I'm replacing my original adapter due to a cat chewing through my original cord. Also the metal portion that plugs into the computer is longer by about 3/8", and is not flush to the computer when inserted. Although it still works, it's a bit more flimsy, and doesn't seem quite as secure. I would still recommend this replacement, however, because it works, and because of the low price I paid.

After wasting time & money on a $30 knock-off which burned out after a week, and a $120 Rocketfish power supply with "intelligent tips," which were intelligent enough to BREAK after a couple weeks - I'm finally back to where I was with "the original." It's a little big, it's a little heavy. But.

It works. (First one kept going for three years.)

I just purchased this second power cord set for my Sony VAIO VGN-SZ480. I like to rig my computer desk so that all the cables are neatly tied underneath the desk (using mug hooks with tabs and plenty of zip ties). The only problem is that you don't want to undo the cable when you want to use the computer elsewhere or travel with it. This is a genuine SONY article that is identical to the one that came with the computer and is over US$20 cheaper than what SONY wants for it on its own web site.

This product was advertised as a "Genuine Sony Product". I even looked closely at the photos where I could see it clearly said "Sony", not "For Sony". So I was surprised when it arrived and was a "For Sony" product. I have had these products made by other companies before and they seem to break fast. We'll see with this one. Frustrating.

Item was received in an extremely prompt manner, and in the new condition as described. The adapter is much sturdier than the OEM provided with my laptop. Great Deal!

Bought the laptop set a little over a year ago, and the adapter just gave out today and started "beeping" at me and refuses to charge anything. Apparently, this is a common problem with these adapters. For 70 dollars, I expect more than a year out of my charger.

I ordered this ac adapter after my dog chewed up my husband's original one. He has no idea that the one he's using now is any different from the first one. I haven't had any issues with it...it's a true Sony product.
