Sony VGP-AMC1 Neoprene Carrying Case for VAIO S Series Notebooks (Includes AC Adapter Case)

THis product is simply amazing!!!! It is NOT meant to be used to carry your laptop around. It is simply "a shield" to protect your laptop from scratches when you are carrying the laptop in a backpack or laptop bag. The item is superiorly designed. There is a soft cushion inside the neoprene case. ALso, since it is neoprene, it conforms to your laptop size if it is little bigger than the case. My Dell 700m fits perfectly in this case.

I went ahead and ordered this VAIO case for my new Inspiron 700m after reading M. Shen's review. I am very happy with this case and I can say that I like this much better than the Shinza 12" zeroshock case. The Shinza case was too snug for my beautiful 700m. This sony case fits perfectly and I don't have to worry about it being too small and tight, just enough room to slide in and out of the case with ease. It seems like it was made for the 700m. So I encourage everyone who owns a 700m and buy this case from Amazon.com.

As the market still needs to catch up with producing laptop cases that fit the new MacBook, I looked at covers currently being offered for Notebooks.

I found that the Sony Vaio S Series Notebook has practically the same dimensions of the 13" MacBook.

This "Sony VGP-AMC1 Neoprene Carrying Case for VAIO S Series Notebooks" fits my MacBook 13" like a glove, is of high quality, and has 2 zippers which allow for charging the MacBook while it remains protected in it's case.
The AC adapter case is useful for carrying extension cables or other small items.
It is a great, simple, functional case at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Also: The Vaio logo/label is easily removed from the case.

I was somewhat skeptical at first when two reviewers mentioned that this case would fit the Dell 700M 12.1" laptop, but after looking at the physical dimensions, it seemed it would fit perfectly. And it actually fit very very well. I have the extended battery for my 700M and it's snug and fit. The AC adapter case is great as well to carry the adapter and any other small nick nack, but really, it doesn't have that much room for anything more than an AC adapter (I put my small USB hub in there...)

I wasn't expecting a lot from the case at all as it really is just a neoprene case. It's great for what it's suppose to do, which is just protect your laptop from minor scratches and scuffs and the occasional mis-handling of your laptop bag. Like the other review mentioned, this case will not protect the laptop entirely. It'll absorb most of the shock if it's used in conjunction with a notebook bag.

The funny thing that comes to my mind is, has anyone actually bought this case for a VAIO notebook? So far, only people who have bought this and reviewed it, did so for their Dell 700M. I bet Sony is a bit sad as I'm sure they would rather us buy their VAIO laptop rather than their laptop case for competitor's laptop, LOL.

The Sony VGP-AMC1 neoprene carrying case fits my 13.3" Vaio S-series laptop perfectly. It is snug, but not too snug; it is not difficult to get the computer into the case, and a favorite feature of mine is that there is a separate carrying case for the cords and AC adapter. The net result is that (normally) I have not been asked to remove the computer from this case when it goes through screening at the airport because there is nothing in the case but the computer; this is a real time saver and it lets me pack the cords away if I am not going to need them for a while (my Vaio has very good battery life.)

The computer case is not meant for impact protection of any kind: it is very thin, but mine is always packed deeply enough in my luggage that I don't need any additional bulk or padding. The computer case is nearly perfect, but if I did have anything to critique it would be that the separate case for the AC adapter and charging cords is a touch too small; it can be a bit of a wrestling match to get them contained in their bag without having them uncoil like angry snakes.

I have no regrets about buying this case: if you have a 13.3" Vaio and need a thin case, this is an excellent and affordable choice.

Essentially I have had the same experience as other reviewers. It is a sleeve, not a hardcore protective case, and it functions very well except that the sharp corners of the laptop tend to screw with the zippers on the round corners of the case.

I have the Vaio SR-590 laptop. I looked, and looked and looked ... Finally, decided to keep this combo. Very good choice. I was concerned about the corners (zipper), but the fit is great. Really like the extra little case for the power supply also. Keeps everything organized. I 'throw' both into my Think Tank Artificial Intelligence 15 and I am ready to go :)

This is an awesome looking and well-built neoprene case. My Vaio (SR series) fits perfectly in this with no issues. The advantage of buying this over other (cheaper) cases is that it has a case for the adapter as well, so you don't have to worry about entangled wires of your adapter.

Now, this won't provide any cushion to your laptop. This won't support your laptop if it falls. It helps in preventing scratches when you put in a backpack or other bags. Neoprene is water-resistant so you don't have to worry about spills too.

After almost a year of use, it has not shown any signs of wear and tear. Believe me, I have used it quite a lot (not everyday though). The zippers are intact and it has not torn at the corners.

Would definitely recommend it.
