Sony VGP-CKP1/B VAIO Leather Carrying Case for P Series Lifestyle PC (Black)

I bought this VAIO leather carrying case for my VAIO P-series netbook. The outside surface is pretty hard leather and inside is real soft. It has a little cover where the opening is, to cover it up. Opening is made with magnetic so it is very handy to open and close. It fits VAIO P perfectly, but don't fit with the large capacity battery. I think this product is very good and also with luxury style.

I have this Leather Sony case (VGP-CKP1), the Soft Carrying Case (VGP-CPP1) and the other Leather carrying case (VGP-CKP2).

This one has the most snug fit. The leather is hard, almost vinyl-like, so don't expect the higher qualities used in their TZ/TT vaio cases. Also, the leather is not as black (dark) as I would have liked, thus adding to the vinyl feel.
The inside is nice, with a soft liner. There is a piece of cloth that takes a little extra effort to tuck around the Vaio, but it's not something you need to do, just wish Sony would have made the Leather wrap completely around the product rather than a piece of cloth.

It probably has the best protection out of the three that I have owned - fits most securely, the leather is hard. The Soft carrying case (CPP1) is easier to slip in/out while around the house, but the CKP1 is what I use to transport my P outside my home, it also fits the extended battery option. Both the CPP1 and CKP2 just don't fit the Vaio P securely (when the standard battery is used), there's about a half an inch of wiggle room for the computer in those cases (CPP1 & CKP2) so I really couldn't recommend using those for daily commuter cases.

Since there are very limited options for this unique computer, I would say the best case is this CKP1: although the leather could be better, the design is still the most stylish and it just fits the best.

Ok, this case is well made and of a good quality leather. The problem I have with it is that once you have put your Sony Vaio in the cover - you need to stick your fingers in and try grab the protective feld that covers the top of the laptop - and this is just a mission. Also - there is no place for anything else. So while it is a sexy looking cover it just isn't as convenient as others. But that been said - if I was walking around with JUST my laptop (meaning no power cable - that means only 2 hours of battery life) then this would be my 1st choice. I am pretty sure the extended battery wouldn't fit in here either.

I find the case hard and the design could have been made better. Stitches are on the outside. It lacks finesse. I have cell phone cases that have a much nicer and expensive looking feel.
