Shipping was super fast and arrived well cushioned in a larger box with plenty of packing peanuts, many thanks to the shipper (Electronic Express). Overall couldn't be happier w/ this laptop.. not only is it super light, screen is crisp and bright, but the design and quality of materials used is outstanding for this price. Personally I think it looks nicer than mac for nearly half the price! Win7 functions like a champ. My favorite is the edge to edge keyboard with full numeric pad, very handy for finances and spreadsheets. This is one gorgeous and outstanding laptop for this price; I would be very hard pressed to find a comparable laptop on the market today. Anyway go buy it, you've got my word this is an excellent buy for your buck!

I've been searching for a laptop for a while and I think I have found the perfect one of me. I work in accounting so having the numeric keypad was very important to me. The look is very sleek and I got a purple keyboard cover from the Sony store so that is very cute. This is a great work and play computer.

I bought this VPCEB12FX 8 months ago and all I got is a bunch of issues. After 2 months, the hard drive went bad and was replaced under warranty but I lost all my data. Then, the mouse pad went crazy and is still crazy. The pointer would move uncontrollably preventing any type operation. The power supply connection to the laptop became loose and the slightest movement makes it fall from the unit. I will never buy VAIO again. They look really good but beauty ain't going to help if what you need is a laptop. BTW, customer service is terrible, not 24 hours...operates from Japan I think (I even prefer India because they speak better English).

I do love this laptop a lot.Search websites with the one touch WEB bottom is brilliant.Screen display beautiful and does not catch fingerprints.Of course there is nowhere to find this particular laptop with this low price.Please don't hesitate and buy it,I promise you will be happy!

The Pros of the Sony E Series:
- It looks very nice and chic
- excellent customer service if needed. There are three little quick access buttons: assist, web, and vaio( opens media) that are very helpful.
- the size is nice and the keypad is spacious
- it has really good media design and a blue ray player, looks beautiful when playing a video
- the vaio care, it performs checks on anti virus and spy-ware, makes sure everything is working fine, in just one click
- well worth the price
- has a battery care mode that makes sure the battery is not being used to the max so it will last longer
- it's well made even though it's light
- it's a good gaming and media laptop, has wonderful graphics when playing a game ( HD Display)
- nice Intel Corei3 or i5 boosts performance

The Cons
- it's all opinion but the 3.5 hours of battery life is a little small ( especially in battery care mode where the battery only charges to 80% = 2.5 hours.
- the audio isn't as good as other laptops but just fine

Overall, the laptop is beautiful and performs great.

I bought this computer last June 2010, after a couple of months, the keyboard was malfunctioning! I called the customer support, but nothing had happened. I simply do not recommend this laptop to anyone planning to buy a computer. You will just be disappointed!!!! I should have bought other brand!

I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A LAPTOP FOR MONTHS. I CAME ACROSS THIS ONE. I CONTACTED SOME COMPUTER TECH FRIENDS. THEY ADVISED ME IT IS A GOOD LAPTOP. I READ THE REVIEWS OF OTHERS WHO WOULD HAVE PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT AND I WAS VERY IMPRESSED.
THIS LAPTOP FUNCTIONS EXCELLENT. I HAVE NO PROBLEMS SINCE USING IT. ALL THE FEATURES ARE FUNCTIONING WELL.
IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING A LAPTOP. GO FOR IT. YOU WILL NOT REGRET YOUR PURCHASE.

First off, ordered the computer with a 2 day express shipping, it arrived while I was
away, left by the UPS guys, my wife found it under our door mat, lucky it wasn't raining
as the computer was shipped in the Sony box, not box in an Amazon box with any packing!!!
BUT, the computer seems undamaged and is working fine, WHEW,
The Sony label was broke, the top of the box was crushed in, if I were home,
I would have refused the delivery!!
But, as I say, it all seems ok, luckily! As I leave for Korea on Monday and
wanted to bring this along.
Speed it seems to be fine, screen is nice and clear and bright, but viewing
movies seems not as good as I had hoped, but I guess for what the resoultion
was listed as, it will have to do, it's not terrible, but I guess I was expecting
a high crispness which isn't there.
