Background - I was always one of those "build your own" computer guys. I was suspicious of the power and performance sacrifices of an all in one PC. After years of building my own, them taking up half the room and never running as designed. I decided to venture and buy one off the shelf.

I am so happy I purchased this PC. Brilliant. I won't focus too much on the spec, is up above if you want to read it.

The screen is stunning. It's essentially a PC plugged into a HD screen, as you can provide an additional HDMI input which does not rely on software or operation system interaction. The touch screen is very smooth and responsive, although in honest, this PC replaced my main work/internet/bills PC so I don't use the touch functionality much. There isn't as much software as I would like which integrates it either. There are a few bundled apps, which are cool, but nothing earth shattering. If you have the money, this PC would be an ideal one for the kitchen, or communal areas, sitting on the wall like an interactive display with its touch screen capabilities.

That said - in terms of being a good PC - its great. The processing power is high, as is the memory. I am multi tasking with about 15 apps right now and it doesn't miss a beat. The audio quality is pretty good for in-built speakers. The keyboard and mouse are Bluetooth and very tidy. In fact the whole system is extremely compact considering the size of the screen. If I didn't tell you it was a whole PC you could be mistaken it was just a bit screen.

My only down point is that I don't have a display output for the computer to connect an additional device. You have one input for HDMI, but no output, so you can't attach different screens (not that you would need to) or send the signal to a large HD TV (this is what I wanted to do because it would have saved me buying another blue ray player). I guess the limited options on upgrades later down the line could also be seen as a disadvantage - you can't replace any of the inbuilt items to my knowledge. That said, I have found with all my other computers, its never one thing that needs upgrading, and by the time you finish it costs close to a new PC anyway. This computer will be a high performer for another 2-3 years I estimate, and have a practical live of up to 8.

In summary: very pleased with the purchase, was up and running in 10mins, it's clean, compact and the screen is very high quality. Touch is a nice plus but not enough to support it to change your typing habits just yet.

I hadn't even been considering an all-in-one computer until I ran across this one in a Sony retail store (bought from Amazon because they had it and Sony was out!). It's powerful, attractive, and easy to use. My only minor quibble is the mouse - I tend to grab a mouse rather hard and I'm always pushing the right button by mistake. Also, a perfectly rectangular mouse would make a lot more sense if humans had perfectly rectangular hands.

But bottom line, I spent almost 2G's on a computer and the only thing I can think of to complain about is the mouse. Not bad. I enjoy the fact that there are no cords, I like the full-sized keyboard, and I had the whole thing up and running within minutes. We bought two of these things for our office and everyone loves them. The touch screen is sorta neat too.

Beautiful screen and functionality so far. My only complaint is the computer comes with NO written or back up CD's whatsoever. Answer is that "everything is on the hard drive" and you need to make your own re-install discs. Penny wise and pound foolish in my estimation, having been a loyal, decade or more long Sony computer supporter.

I bought this computer two years ago and I've been in love since. The screen graphics are breathtaking, the interfaces flawless, and everything just seems to work. I can sit at this computer and check my 3 fantasy football teams, watch red zone with a push of a button, and listen to my music at the same time. Blue-ray player is an extra added attraction. I have a set of speakers plugged in to augment the sound. Highly recommend this unit although I know it's been discontinued. If one comes up on e-bay or whatever, snatch it up.

This machine is quite exciting; it has high performance (Q8400), lots of memory and great display characteristics (GT240). however it does require a backup disk of considerable size. The DVD capability has blueray as well as all the others. Windows 7 is so much better than Vista. It is a great product. TJ

Just got this computer 2 days ago and i was amazed from the quality and build of Sony. The touch screen is really good , watch your movies and view your pictures from windows Surface it truly takes computer entertainment to the next level.

Highly Recommend for anyone looking for an Windows 7 Touch All in One Computer.

I got this computer after a crash of my old machine. What a difference! No problems setting it up. I bought the Laplink software and was able to transfer all my stuff from the old computer to the Sony.
The Sony is a beautiful machine that performs flawlessly. I love it.

Purchased this PC and received it very quick. Set it up and started enjoying the wonderful touchscreen capabilities within minutes. This PC allows me to use it for cable tv, playing ps3, and surfing the internet. So far, this product is the most impressive all in one that I have come across. If you are in the market for an all in one PC then this is the one for you, if you dont't mind the slightly higher price tag.
