I found this tape player to play very well; the sound is clear and the reliability is very good. For those that have cassettes and can't find them locally, I would defineately recommend this tape player!

I have had another radio/tapeplayer walkman before. It was a struggle to keep my stations tuned in and they were never static free. No problem with this one! The sound is of excellent quality for the size of the unit. I'm very happy.

Sony is one of the best electronic brands around. This Walkman is really easy to use, has good sound quality, and the batteries last a long time. The one thing I wish I had looked at was a Walkman that was AC/DC.

This was the third time that I have purchased the exact same cassette player (after wearing out the first two), a good indication that I'm pleased with the way this Sony Walkman performs. I like its simplicity of operation and the fact that it's lightweight. I use it primarily to listen to recorded books on tape, so the rewind button is a necessary option for me...and one that seems to be omitted on several of the cassette players in this price range. Although I've never cared for the headphones that come this product, that's an easy fix!

I like to listen to recorded books while gardening or doing housework, and prefer a tape player. I find that CD's skip when jostled - tapes are more reliable in this situation. It is difficult to find an old-fashioned Walkman that plays cassette tapes - so I was delighted to find this one. It works fine, and I'm back in business. Auto reverse would have been nice, but that's the only thing missing.

I have had several of these types of players in the past. They all worked OK for a time. This player is the best one I have had (of the portable type). I use this for listening to audio books that I have checked out from the library. The problem with most players (for this purpose) is that they tend to skip or get stuck and you have to spend a lot of time hitting the cassettes to get them to play. I have listened to several books with this player and have had all the tapes play beautifully.

My Sony Walkman from years ago, broke, when i dropped it. i was looking for the exact same one and lost out on e-bay. frustrated, i turned to amazon. they did not have my exact one, but this one is almost as good as the one i had before. I hate tinny sounding music. This one offers good bass and a good sound and operation for the money. I would recommend this cassette player for anyone out there like me who stll has alot of cassettes and enjoys listening to their older music.

I had been burned by SONY several times in the past. For me, SONY was just another four letter word that started with "S". This Walkman, however, is great! Batteries last a long, long time. Unit is easy to operate. Sounds great. Inexpensive to buy! Easy to tune to stations while walking. Great for audio-book listening. Go for it!

I purchased this Walkman in order to listen to tapes while excercise walking. The case seems a little flimsy to me, but the quality of the audio is very good. I would prefer ear buds, but I guess for the price what are you going to get? This is an OK cassette player.

This is a great little player. Sturdy. Price is right. They get constant use at our house.
