I bought the Sony NWZA816PNK (Pink 4GB Walkman Video MP3 Player) as a replacement for my wife's 4GB Creative Labs player after she ran that one over with the car (she says it was an accident). The Creative was good, but until they just came out with a firmware upgrade, had some nagging problems. But this Sony unit is absolutely fantastic. The ear bud headset is high quality and there's plenty of volume in this little player for anyone's deaf ears. My Wife absolutely LOVES this thing. We bought a belt clip for it and she uses that on an armband. The only thing I'd like to see is a silicone protective case for it with a clip on the back, but there's little else that I could suggest for improvements for this little powerhouse. If you're looking for MP3 and Video playback in the 4GB range, get this baby! But unless you're a girl or it's for a girl, stay with the more masculine colors.

This is the best Christmas gift that my husband has ever given me. Terrific sound quality with a choice of three different ear bud sizes for comfort. Easy controls to use and lots of options.Amazingly clear and large screen. I've spent the last year borrowing my teenage son's 4gb Ipod Nano and I like this Sony much better and because it's not Apple, I'm not limited to only downloading music from Itunes. I have the belt clip and the arm band and have been to the gym and done chores around the house with it easily. I highly recommend this over an Ipod!!

UPDATE: This is still the best music player ever. I have over 700 songs on it and still have room for more. The battery life has been terrific. I've gone 15-20 hours of playing time before having to re-charge it. My husband liked it so much that he got himself one in black.

Perfect for someone who loves music! I have 300 pictures and 200 songs on it, and still have 2.2 GB of space left over! Owned it for 10 months and the battery holds a charge for only about 3 hours now. Sony wants $81.00 to replace the battery. Parts are under warrany for 1 year but labor is covered for just 90 days.

I recently purchased this mp3 (my first one!) in pink because my husband has one (in black,not pink) and he loves it. After watching him play with his awhile I decided I had to have one. He researches everything he buys and felt this one would be the best bang for the buck and he was right. I had never used an mp3 player before but the first time I put my earbuds on I was hooked! The sound is incredible! I prefer to listen to music with my player over any music on the radio now. Also, this is so easy to use, we signed up for Rhapsody and for electronic dummies like me, it was a cinch. My hubby talked me into buying the pink (against my better judgement- pink? yeah right!) But it is the prettiest pink I have ever seen on an electronic gadget. I am proud to sport my pink mp3 player. I recommend getting the clip though because I don't have a place to put it except in my bra- yuck. I also ordered the hard case for it because I don't want a scratch on my pretty pink- not one! Oh, and if you're going to buy one, check the prices at Best Buy first- I got mine there for 119.00, it's currently 133.00 on Amazon- don't know why, they're usually cheaper than Best Buy any day.

Not being able to delete files on the mp3 player combined with the fact that the thumbnails are not displayed in Windows Explorer makes deleting music and pictures a bit cumbersome. I had to write the file names down and keep unplugging and replugging in the Walkman. Learning the sync function in Windows Media Player took some trial and error since I didn't want to put all the pictures on my hard-drive into my mp3 player!

However, I love the thumbnails that are automatically downloaded and displayed for your albums! The interface is easy to use. The earphone are fabulous and the sound is awesome! I got the pink one and saved some money, plus it's VERY pretty. It looks purple in the picture but it's actually a nice shade of glittery pink.

I had previously purchased a SanDisk MP3 player that I was totally unhappy with. I went to Best Buy and saw this and decided to buy it. I did not want an iPod, and I trusted the Sony brand name. And, yes, the pink color put it over the top for me!

I am in no way a "teckie," but just a few minutes of browsing Media Player and I was uploading music and sync'ing to the device. What I really appreciate about the Sony Walkman is that it works as it should and as it was designed to do. There are many times when I purchase electronics only to find there are missed steps in the directions and I'm left with a gadget I can't operate right away unless I call customer service or contact some friends. Not so with the Walkman. I read the guide that came with the device, browsed Media Player a couple times, and now I feel like an old pro!

I did find the ear buds a little uncomfortable at first, but I truly appreciated that Sony includes 3 different sizes of the part that actually inserts into the ear. I discovered the smallest insert was a much more comfortable fit. That was a nice touch - a lot of manufacturors would have made the consumer purchase those as extra.

At first I thought the buttons would be difficult to push, as they are small, but I find them easy to find even while the device is in my pocket and I'm on my early morning walk. No fumbling around trying to find something!

My only disappointment was that device could only be recharged via computer USB port. I do travel and would like to take this along, but I am not in the habit of lugging along a laptop. However, I have just discovered that Sony now manufactures an AC adaptor for this device! I will definitely be purchasing that today, and my little MP3 world will be complete for now.

i hate the earbud, you cant adjust it on the center.i always put my mp3 player on my pocket but somehow, the leftside of the earbud wont reach my ear that is why i want to adjust it, but to no luck.. you cant adjust it!

overall everything is nice.. i love this mp3. i got the pink one... i love the earpiece too.. but i hope sony will make the earpiece adjustable..

Pink is so cool. I have it in pink and enjoy this MP3 player very much. I bought this device specifically for playing music, although you can store pictures and video. The sound is awesome and crisp. It works fine with Vista. Navigation is quite easy. This device is small but very convenient. I feel very good about my selection. There is one drawback. I exercise and wore my previous Samsung MP3 player around my neck with a slim leather neck chain. There is a tiny, tiny slot on the side of this player for that. It would be very awkward to use for that purpose. You would need an armband or a case that would accomodate a neck chain. The bass is unbelievable for such a small device. Ladies, I thought the pink would be horrible, but purchased it after seeing this device in a store. The pink is kick butt.

This Sony MP3 player is an excellent option for a gift. Small, memory enough, direct interconection whit other Sony products.

I had purchased this product locally for my wife as an anniversery gift. I liked it so much that I had to buy one for myself! The sound quality is great! I can hear every note and instrument clearly, even with orchestral music. Sony's product quality is unmatched. It was also easy to set up. I've reccomended this player to several people and highly reccomed this to anyone wanting a quality player.
