Walkman Trumps iPod,

I wanted a small, light MP3 player with great sound, good design, and long battery life that is easy to navigate in a dark or bright place. I wasn't much concerned for viewing movies or photos. And I wanted a good value. After reading so many reviews like this, I settled on the Sony Walkman 2 GB. It's fabulous! Much better ergonomics than the iPod nano and you're not limited to iTunes. I tried converting my jazz & classical CDs at various bit rates and the sound is just as good at the lowest rates (40). I've now got about 30 albums on it with room to spare.
