I was pleasantly surprised. Very easy to install and it came much faster than the original quoted date. I was worried at first that I would find some way to mess up the installation, but I did it within a matter of seconds. My screen is so bright and clear now. Word to the wise...purchase the replacement with the housing. It made things that much easier!!!

Product was delivered before the cited date and installation was a breeze. At the time, this was the best price I found for this product. I will definitely shop here again if the price is the right price. I've had my TV for 3 years, so I will be back in another 3 years if it holds out.

arrived earlier than promised. Very easy installation. about 10 minutes counting vacum cleaning the inside. TV is 4 1/2 years old. Picture is better than new.

I wanted to warn those of you who are purchasing this item for a Sony KDF-50E2000 HDTV that you may have to do a little work to make this lamp usable for your tv. After receiving this item, I tried to install it numerous times and while it seems to fit and be secure, the TV power still flashed red when I tried to turn it on, which ment that the lamp or lamp door was unsecured. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong, until I compared it to the broken lamp. The metal part on the top of the lamp container was different between the two. I wasn't positive this was this issue, but I took my screwdriver and installed the new lamp in the old lamp container and put in my TV. It worked!

It only took about 15 minutes to change out the containers, so for those of you with this TV and don't mind doing a little extra work, this lamp is for you. 3 Stars for inconvenience and having to handle a broken lamp that contains mercury.

There was a mix up with the shipping of my order. After a simple email to the seller (Margin Mart, they upgraded my shipping to two day shipping for no extra charge. The product is exactly as listed. The packaging was awesome! There was a box inside a box with paper surrounding the inside box for cushion, then inside the lamp was held by styrofoam. The lamp works like a champ, and as others have said, I forgot how good the picture use to be.

Highly recommend this product when ordered from Margin Mart.

Got this lamp to replace our lamp when it literally blew up. It plugged in easily, but then when I turned on TV, the power light came on and then went to red (bleeping 3 times). The indicator states the lamp or lamp door is not in correct. Tried to adjust the lamp multiple time but no use. Did what another review said, took the thing apart, took new bulb and put into old container, inserted it, TV is alive again. So if you want to change out the bulb (not that hard), it is worth it; but not as easy as plug-n-watch. Have to see how long it lasts now...

This item seemed to be working very well for the first 6 months and 4 days, until the bulb popped. I checked the website, and sure enough, the warranty had expired 4 days earlier. Figures.

This product did not work out of the box. I tried installing this lamp several times and either my tv would come on normal for about 20-30 seconds and go out, or the red light would just flash and screen would not light up at all. I had to take the lamp cases apart and put the new lamp in my old case. Works fine now. The metal tabs on the front of the case are slightly different. I feel i was hosed out of $20 because i could have bought just the lamp without the case for 20 cheaper. I think this product is misleading they make it look like it is a factory sony replacement but yet it would not work in my sony tv. I also read other reviews that had the same problem, figured if there was a problem it would have been fixed by now.

The display on my older projection TV kept getting dimmer and dimmer. This tube was the direct OEM replacement recommended by Sony. It worked perfectly, easy to swap, nice and bright. Unfortunately, the TV developed another problem so now it is relegated to another room. But that is not the fault of this bulb. The price was very good, it was delivered as promised, and it worked. That is all you can ask.

Delivered on time and was as advertised. A little hard to get it pluged in solid but once in it works great. Really good value, bulb is already in plastic case and just plugs in to TV. BS
