Sony XS-GTX1621S Xplod GTX Series 6.5" 2-way Component Speakers

I have had a Sony Xplod radio in my boat for over a year and really like the sound and the features. I decided to try a component speaker system in my Chevy Silverado. Installation was straight forward, but one of the bass speakers had a rattle like the cone was loose from the driver. Contacted Discountsjungle through Amazon and they did send me an RMA# with the directions to not send everything back until I heard from them. I wanted to return just the one bass speaker due to all the other components being installed. Discountsjungle never did call to let me know if sending just the speaker back was possible. I contacted Sony and they have been great. They sent me a prepaid shipping label for the one speaker. I sent the defective speaker back to Sony. I am waiting to see if they will send me back a new bass speaker.

I would recommend these if you are looking for better sound on a budget. I was hoping the woofers would put out a little more mids, but they are a huge improvement overall, much better than coaxial speakers. Don't use these to avoid getting a dedicated subwoofer though.

Bought this component for a 2007 Prius front door. Could not tell the different in sound quality. It does sound more hollow almost echoing. With this set installed, I cam able to crank up the volume all the way to max. Never able to do it to factory set. I know this set takes more power. Current set up is using factory power from head unit. Planning to install 4 ch amp to push all speakers. Will update how they sound after install more power.
