I got a pair of these Sony 12's at a local store in December and was blown away by how much they pounded my bones! I wasn't even bridging them into mono, I had them in stereo in a sealed box, hooked to my Rockford Fosgate Punch 400S and they hit so hard I had to turn my gain way down so my mirrors would stop moving out of adjustment. An awesome subwoofer for sure! I hated to part with mine recently but I finally found the Kenwood 12's I was looking for and since my entire system is now all Kendwood I felt like a traitor not using Kenwood subs. But I highly recommend these Sony's to anyone! That 1300 watt rating is not a joke or exaggeration. The best sub you will find for the price, for sure!

I just installed these bad boys last night and they are amazing!! I was a little skeptical to buy these considering they were sonys but they had some great reviews and I decided to go for it. I got them for only $55 a piece and I have two of them. I had thunder mtx 5500s before these and they were good but these are a good bit louder. The lows from these subs are amazing and really pound compared to the MTXs which only vibrated on the lows and made noise with no thump. I did love the MTXs but I got them used and they blew. I already had bought a sony xplod amp, headunit, and 6 1/2s so I decided to go ahead and get some xplod subs. I also run my music off of my SONY PSP so I thought it would be pretty awesome to have all sony products. I love these subs and hope they don't end up disappointing me in the future, being a sony I doubt it.

These Sony Xplods are my very first sub's I ever purchase. I had some hand me downs in my car before. I decided to give those a rest and pick up these Xplod's. OOOOOMMMMMGGGG! I have a 1200w Amp. I bought Two Xplod's. The Amp is not strong enough to push both. so I just hooked one up and it is louder then my two Alpine Hand me down 12' sub's. When I was tuning my amp for Xplod. I set off my neighbors car alarm LOL! Very good Sub I highly recommend this product by sony!

I have this sub currently hooked up to a 170 watt RMS amp until tomorrow when i get my new Kenwood 500 watt RMS. But just on the 170 watts this thing hits hella hard! When me and all my friends are in the car it gets hard to breathe! Shakes all my mirrors so much I can barely see anything out of them! If this sub isn't working for you then you don't have it hooked up right or you don't have a very good enclosure. Great sub, CEA rated is a huge plus too!
